Betting lines are always moving on multiple sportsbooks, so make sure you have all of the sportsbooks and choose the best lines available. When the market moves on information, sometimes you can get stale lines on a sportsbook.

We don’t want to bet on every rumor available. We want to make sure we’re filtering out correct information from trusted sources. Know the different scenarios at play, how teams could pivot in certain scenarios and who those players/positions would be.

Betting 2023 Draft Advice

Follow plugged-in beat reporters or national media members. You should be following insiders about players “moving up or down” boards. Teams already have this info, but as we get closer to the draft, some of these leaks are true, and we have to adjust based on this.

Example: C.J. Stroud (scouting report) may not have tested well on the S2.

Which players do the national media guys consistently have in the first round of mock drafts other people don't? Which players near the top 10 do the national media members seem to like more than the consensus?

The best mock drafts to follow are either the day before or the day of the draft. These are the final mock drafts that get sent out for the accuracy contest, and this is also when the best information is available.

Understanding Team Tendencies

Does this team draft athletic players? Do they tend to draft certain positions? Do they draft from specific schools or conferences? Knowing the answer to those questions can help guide you in the right direction.

Understanding Team Needs

Teams tend to draft the best player available based on roster needs for the most part. When teams are compiling their final rankings, they tend to use these needs as tiebreakers. We usually can get a good idea of two-to-three positions a team would draft.

Premium Positions, Draft Trends

Quarterbacks, edge rushers, offensive tackles and cornerbacks. These positions tend to go earlier, and teams will have these positions higher on their boards.
