Big QB Movers

C.J. Stroud –  Fifth (Previously Seventh)

C.J. Stroud continues to climb our dynasty rankings every week. It’s nearly impossible not to when posting the fourth-highest-scoring rookie season that only trails Cam Newton, Robert Griffin III and Justin Herbert.

We are possibly witnessing one of, if not the best, rookie quarterback seasons ever. Even forgetting he’s a rookie, if we compared him with Herbert and Joe Burrow this season, Stroud is posting higher passing points per game, adjusted yards per attempt and yards per attempt.

He also has the lowest interception rate of the bunch. You could make a case for any order of quarterbacks in the second tier, but the fact you can make a peripheral comparison between all of them with Stroud says something.

Brock Purdy – 13th (Previously 15th)

Of course, a quarterback who gets to play in the Kyle Shanahan system with possibly the league’s best weapons will benefit from it. But that doesn’t mean you can completely erase what Brock Purdy is doing this season.

That's especially true when you consider he’s posting 3.7 higher points per game than any Jimmy Garoppolo season in San Francisco, and it’s just Purdy’s second season in the league. His 10.2 adjusted yards per attempt is the highest mark in the league, as is his 6.5 percent touchdown rate and 9.7 yards per attempt.

You can pick Purdy apart as much as you want. Regardless, he’s the season’s QB8 with 22.3 points per game and posting fantastic peripherals.

Big RB Movers

David Montgomery – 13th (Previously 18th)

Consider David Montgomery as the 2022 Jamaal Williams — except Montgomery is a much more efficient rusher tied to the potent Detroit Lions offense for the next couple of seasons.

Montgomery is posting 2.78 yards per team rush attempt, which is good for fifth among all running backs, and it’s coming off just the 12th-highest carry percentage (56.8 percent). While he’s not a legitimate receiving threat, he makes up for it with a 6.2 percent touchdown rate because he has the fifth-most carries inside the five-yard line.

That allows him to put up 16.9 points per game (RB9) this season. Montgomery isn’t a coveted high-end dynasty running back, but he’s a strong rusher tied to a friendly fantasy situation for the foreseeable future.

Brian Robinson – 20th (Previously 25th)

Brian Robinson is a high-volume rusher, holding the seventh-highest carry percentage in the league at 60 percent. He has always had a limited ceiling because he lacks receiving work.

While he’s still not a strong receiver out of the backfield — he has a 7.5 percent target share — he’s posted a 16.6 percent target share in the past two weeks, upping his career-high weekly target share each of the past two weeks.

We shouldn’t extrapolate from such a small sample, but we hope it’s a trend in the right direction. If Robinson can be an adequate receiver, he has a legitimate high-end ceiling.

Jaylen Warren – 28th (Previously 33rd)

Jaylen Warren is posting the sixth-highest target share among all running backs, trailing Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Jahmyr Gibbs and Austin Ekeler. Of that group, Warren is the only running back doing it on route participation under 55 percent (Warren’s is 39.4 percent).

He’s not a high-volume rusher, he's efficient with his touches. Warren averages 1.93 yards per team rush attempt on just a 31.3 percent carry percentage. He is showing a high ceiling by posting 12.3 points per game with a minimal workload.

Warren could shoot up dynasty rankings if a more significant opportunity opened for him, but even without it, he’s still quite productive.

Big Movers

CeeDee Lamb – Third (Previously Fourth)

Since the Dallas Cowboys’ bye week, CeeDee Lamb has posted 29.5 points per game and is up to WR4 on the season only behind Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen and Justin Jefferson.

After a slow start to the season, Lamb's peripherals are now among the league’s best. His 2.83 yards per team pass attempt ranks fourth across all wide receivers, and he’s one of just 13 wide receivers to post at least a 26 percent target share.

Lamb could be the sixth wide receiver to post at least a 26 percent target share in his third and fourth NFL seasons.

Given his elite-level production and peripherals, along with his age, there isn’t a wide receiver we would rank ahead of him outside of Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase.

Tank Dell – 12th (Previously 23rd)

The biggest mover in the entire rankings is Tank Dell, who is showing that his poor prospect profile doesn’t matter. He’s posting 16.2 points per game and would join Chase, Jefferson, Odell Beckham Jr., Mike Evans and Michael Thomas as the only rookie wide receivers to post at least 16 points per game.

Dell has a 24.3 percent target rate and 2.39 yards per route run on an average depth of target of 14.3. The production and peripherals are both fantastic, especially for a rookie. He finds himself attached to Stroud in one of the friendliest fantasy offenses. Dell is a dynasty WR1 and should be treated as such.

Cooper Kupp – 20th (Previously 14th)

After two of the best seasons at wide receiver, Cooper Kupp’s age-30 season isn’t on par with what we’re accustomed to. Kupp started the season on injured reserve and has missed parts of games with injuries.

He is falling in our dynasty rankings because of lingering injuries that are likely causing him to post his worst point-per-game season at 11.3. We’ve still seen his massive upside, but if he can’t get back to form, he’ll continue to fall in the dynasty ranks.

Big Movers

Mark Andrews – Second (Previously Second)

Why am I including Mark Andrews when he didn’t move within the rankings? Well, for someone who likely had their season end Thursday, it is noteworthy that he didn’t move down.

That happens when you’re one of the few difference-making tight ends. If you don’t count the Week 11 game he left for said injury during the first quarter, Andrews has averaged 17 points per game.

He’s the only player not named Travis Kelce to finish as TE1 in the past five seasons and holds the record for the highest target share for a third-, fourth- and fifth-year tight end. He’ll only be 28 when the 2024 season starts — tight end is a position with solid longevity for those who are elite, and Andrews is.

T.J. Hockenson – Third (Previously Fourth)

T.J. Hockenson is enjoying a career-high season in target share at 24.5 percent, yards per team pass attempt at 1.76 and points per game at 18.9.

The breakout we’ve all been impatiently waiting for is happening. If we’re looking at just the 2023 season, the only tight end who’s outproducing Hockenson is Travis Kelce.

That should tell everything you need to know regarding Hockenson’s TE3 ranking. At 26 and attached to a high-volume offense, Hockenson is one of the few tight ends capable of being a difference-maker.
