The Minnesota Vikings will start veteran Nick Mullens at quarterback on Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Josh Dobbs, who started the past four games, has been benched and will either be the backup or third-string quarterback behind rookie Jaren Hall.

Mullens led the Vikings' only scoring drive on Sunday after replacing Dobbs in the fourth quarter of a 3-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Mullens will be the fourth starter this season for the Vikings, who are 7-6 and the No. 6 seed in the NFC.

Mullens has made 17 NFL starts in four seasons, most recently in 2021 with the Cleveland Browns. He was on injured reserve because of a back injury when Kirk Cousins ruptured his Achilles, which led to the Vikings trading for Dobbs from Arizona.

The Vikings' final four games are at Cincinnati, then home for the Lions and Packers, before finishing the season in Detroit.
