Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce informed his teammates Monday night that he will be retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons.

Kelce, 36, was tearing up on the sideline at the end of the Eagles' 32-9 wild-card playoff game loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A former sixth-round pick out of Cincinnati, Kelce spent his entire career with the Eagles and was voted to seven Pro Bowls and had six first-team All-Pro selections.

He is one of five centers in NFL history with at least six All-Pro selections. The other four — Jim Otto, Bulldog Turner, Dermontti Dawson and Jim Ringo — are all in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

"He's special, and I love him," head coach Nick Sirianni said about Kelce on Monday night. "He's one of the most special guys I've been around."

Kelce played in 193 regular-season games and 12 postseason games. He started in Super Bowl LII, where the Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33, marking the franchise's first and only Super Bowl win.
