Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Corker is built thick throughout his body. Rocked up throughout as well, has adequate size for the position, should add weight and has room to do so. Average length, arms fall to about his waist. Hasn't missed a game due to injury in his career.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Corker possesses average instincts in all aspects of his game. He doesn't diagnose quickly which causes him to be late recognizing and pursuing plays. Above the line toughness. He's not afraid to take hits, multiple times in film where he gets run over by an RB and he's able to make the tackle. Adequate effort and motor.

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

As an athlete, Corker is essentially an average athlete across the board. Adequate explosiveness that's shown best when he's closing on ball carriers. Shows adequate play strength when tackling runners. His change of direction is average at best and struggles with swifty changing directions. Shows average speed, better in short distances than chasing down runners. Flexibility and bend are average due to stiffness throughout his body. Not a fluid mover, looks robotic in some of his movements.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Prior to the snap Corker is stiff. In his back pedal he struggles sinking as he moves, causing an limited backpedal. He possesses limited play recognition and paired with his limited plant and drive, he struggles coming downhill quickly. When closing on ball carriers, he shows adequate burst to close but his average twitch/suddenness. He sometimes allows ball carriers to initiate contact with him. Average tackler who's physical. Struggles getting off of blocks and his ankle stiffness makes it hard for him to avoid blockers in traffic. Struggles with being rangy in coverage due to average hip fluidity–this also hurts his ability to deliver hits to all carriers. Limited defender in all coverages, struggles because he has a tendency to be over aggressive and jump routes paired with being susceptible to double moves. Adequate ball skills and flashes ability to use his arms well when making plays on the football in coverage.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Corker's a redshirt senior who was a 3 year starter for Kentucky, starting 37 consecutive games. He's rocked up throughout his body and possesses plenty of muscle. However he only shows adequate play strength for his size. He has limited play discipline, something he will need to improve prior to becoming a trusted starter at the NFL level. His lack of athletic ability is concerning for the NFL. He provides a physical body in the box for run support but shouldn't be used in man coverage unless for a last resort due to his aggressive tendencies in coverage and lack of athletic traits to make up for mistakes he makes from being over aggressive. Special teams will be where he makes his impact immediately. He's a backup caliber player who will make his impacts on special teams early into his career and lacks a ceiling higher than a winning backup due to his lack of athletic and mental traits. 7th/UDFA round grade.
