Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Sincere McCormick is a small in stature RB who has the ability to add more weight to his legs. Adding weight to his lowers or redistributing the weight would add to his leg drive. He has sustained no major injuries or injuries of note in his college career and has been the starting RB for 2.5 seasons at UTSA.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

McCormick has an adequate feel for a cutback lane as well as gap recognition based on initial tempo. On inside runs, his awareness and ability to get small between blocks, and maintain a similar foot speed is impressive. Often will fight for extra yards with above average contact balance in his upper body. Presents a serviceable stiff arm and excels at putting the ball properly out of harm's way.

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

Sincere McCormicks' athleticism draws from his footwork and technique. He is able to stay light on his toes to create explosion up the field with adequate long speed to outrun defenders but can be caught from behind on tape. Above average plant and drive with great bend in his ankles to explode out of the break. Has a shifty nature to his running style at the second level but is compact and diligent with his eyes and active feet behind the LOS. With his current frame and build, his strength will be average which allows him to run between the tackles and his will/effort will create extra yardage.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Used in basic packages as a receiver but saw a lot of receptions/yards on screens out of a bunch set with blockers in front. This and at the second level on cutbacks, is when he is able to show his ability to create on his own and MYM in space. Both are byproducts of his footwork. Will be best in space, but can contribute in between the tackles as well, although spelling him with a short yardage back can improve efficiency. Did not fumble the entire season on 321 touches and has not lost a fumble since he was a freshman in 2019.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Sincere McCormick has been the focal point of the Roadrunners offense since the second half of 2019. He has been the lead back and totaled over 550 touches the past two seasons. McCormick is a smaller back that can and has improved his body type throughout his time at UTSA. He is able to use his outstanding footwork and above average instincts to find and create cut back lane, properly chose his gap and continue up field with his plant drive for extra yardage at the second level. While his speed is nothing special, he can use it to win foot races at times despite being tracked down from behind on tape. He has not fumbled in over 550 carries. In the pass game, he is an asset split out wide and on basic routes where he flashes natural hands, ability to create on his own and correct diagnosis at the second level. For his size, he gives maximum effort as a pass blocker but needs to refine his technique and recognition of the proper block. McCormick can contribute immediately as an option in the passing game and on 1st/2nd down, but his smaller stature and lack of special teams snaps could deter teams.
