Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Adequate size for an NFL OG with adequate length and a strong, thick midsection with most of the weight on his top half. Missed the Arkansas game in 2021 due to a knee injury, the 2020 Missouri game due to a leg injury, and suspended for the 2018 season for a violation of team rules, but reinstated for 2019. Played 788/888 offensive snaps in 2021.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Above the line toughness, and picks up blitzing LBs well and twists from the DL. Works hard to finish reps and take defenders far away from the ball, needs to show more effort to help other other OL in pass pro when uncovered.

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

Limited explosiveness as he isn't quick out of his stance and doesn't gain a lot of ground with his first step, however when he does gain momentum after the first 2/3 steps, his speed is adequate. Displays average knee flexibility to ensure he isn't often out-leveraged and average body control, with the need to re-position his hands slightly earlier in the rep as his body sometimes ends up on the wrong side of the defender or the floor as they get off the block. Change of direction is adequate, especially on pulling plays when he occasionally needs to turn upfield if the DE hasn't crashed down at the LOS and his play strength is adequate and comes with a lot of force behind every block - is not passive in pass pro nor run blocking.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

An adequate pass blocker - his strike is powerful and well-directed, and when he gets hands on a defender and his body is between the ball and the DL, he often wins the rep and shows adequate anchor to get lower than the oncoming defender to not concede ground. One area in pass pro to clean up is footwork - when a rusher spikes to the A/B gap next to him, he often makes a good strike, but doesn't chase his feet and sometimes loses the rep as he has to released the DL to avoid a holding call. Run block - climbs to the second level quickly when presented the opportunity, and is especially effective at selling the DL with a powerful strike on screens before getting out in front of his ball carrier to block downfield. Outstanding puller and work in space - hard pressed to find a rep where he doesn't get any movement on a defender, understands blocking angles and always kicks out from their inside shoulder to open huge lanes on counter and power runs.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Ingram was a 4* OG from HS and ranked 11th OG in the country. Started 45/55 games during his time at LSU and earned Second-Team ALL-SEC Honors in 2021. He has a frame that appears capable of adding some weight if required. Ingram projects as an immediate backup with potential to be a starter at OG if he impresses early on - currently restricted to a gap running scheme as to play in a zone-blocking scheme would require a lot of work to improve footwork and being more explosive out of his stance to gain ground laterally.
