Week 6 DFS Main Slate Tournament Games
If you are new to DFS, check out our introductory pieces, such as DFS 101, Contest Selection, Stacking, Rostership, Leverage, and Lineup Construction.
Below we will take a look at some of the double stacks, single stacks, and mini stacks I will be looking to take advantage of this weekend. If you have any questions, ask them on our 33rd Team Discord.
We have a shorter slate with teams on a bye this weekend, and with only two high-point totals, chalk will be heavier than normal this weekend. However, I believe there are three spots that generate the most chalk between the Bills vs. Chiefs, the Seahawks vs. Cardinals, and Rhamondre Stevenson. Below I'll explain how to treat each of these and why we shouldn't be afraid of playing some of them.
Double Stacks
Stack: QB Josh Allen RB Devin Singletary, WR Gabe DavisÂ
Runback: TE Travis Kelce
The Bills are implied to have one of the highest point totals of the week, and they are not a team that stops throwing the ball once they have the lead. I am stacking Singletary with Allen because of the high reception upside for the defense he's going to see. We saw Singletary catch plenty of passes against Miami, and I see a similar defensive game plan for the Chiefs. When the Chiefs do go Cover 0 or 1, it will be on third and short, and that's when I expect Davis to have big plays over the top of this defense. The Bills have not slowed down Travis Kelce in any of their matchups, and I don't anticipate that today.
Stack: QB Kyler Murray WR Marquise Brown, TE Zach Ertz
Runback: RB Kenneth Walker WR Tyler Lockett
The Cardinals' Seahawks game is my favorite game of the week, and I want to play it from the Cardinals' side instead of the Seattle side. Geno Smith has been phenomenal against man coverage, but the Cardinals' have been a zone-heavy team every week, and I don't believe he has the ability to play at the level he has recently. Seattle has been the worst secondary in football to begin the year, and this will be a chance for Murray to find a rhythm with this offense. Brown has been the main target to begin this year with a 27% target share, and Ertz ranks second at 20%. Seattle hasn't given up the big game to wide receivers this year but hasn't played that great of passing attacks. We have seen how Denver's passing attack looks, Trey Lance was hurt and resulted in Jimmy Garoppolo to come in, Marcus Mariota, no Amon-Ra St.Brown or DJ Chark, and Andy Dalton. I am looking to run it back with Walker and Lockett because I want this game to be a shootout. Lockett has been the go-to in zone coverage, and I expect the Cardinals to play two safeties high, giving Walker plenty of room to run.
Stack: QB Tom Brady, WR Mike Evans, WR Chris Godwin
Runback: WR George Pickens
The Steelers are missing a ton of players in their secondary, and I expect Brady to get the passing offense going. Brady with Evans and Godwin is affordable this weekend with all the cheap running backs available. Pickens as the runback makes sense because he has been Kenny Pickett's favorite target this year and continues to flash his talent.
Single Stacks
I am not single-stacking this weekend and instead focusing on the upside of double stacking in tournaments.
Mini-Stacks
New England vs. Cleveland
RB Rhamondre Stevenson and WR Amari Cooper
Stevenson will be a popular player with the workload we expect him to have and how bad the Browns' have been against the run. Don't be afraid of the chalk, and focus on other ways to get unique.
Cooper has a 33% target share in man coverage, and when you are trying to stop a rushing attack like the Browns, you will give a lot more man coverage.Â
Cincinnati vs. New Orleans
WR Ja'Marr Chase and RB Alvin Kamara
Chase and Burrow are having a homecoming down in New Orleans, and with all the injuries in the passing room that the Saints are dealing with, I expect a heavily targeted Chase. The Saints have played plenty of man coverage, and with no Marshon Lattimore, they don't have anybody to match up with Chase. Chase has a 33% target share against man coverage this year, and I expect a huge target share overall.
Andy Dalton has no problem targeting Kamara, nor do the Saints have to rely on him to win them games. Kamara had 29 touches last week, and the only problem for Kamara is Taysom Hill stealing his goal-line work. Everybody is paying down at running back this week, and Kamara will not be popular.Â
San Francisco vs. Atlanta
TE George Kittle and WR Drake London
Kittle is extremely cheap, and the Falcons have given up the second most fantasy points to inline tight ends. They will also be starting a rookie at linebacker this weekend, and with all the trickery that Kyle Shanahan does, I expect him to have some play-action shots to Kittle.
The 49ers just lost multiple pieces to their defense, and as great as they have been, they will not be playing at that level without Nick Bosa, Emmanuel Mosley, Jimmie Ward, Arik Armstead, and Javon Kinlaw. As a result, London has a 40% target share, 2.35 yards per route run, and will be the main target for Mariota.
