Seahawks’ Jamal Adams Suffers Major Injury in MNF Opener
Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams was carted off during the second quarter of Monday Night’s opener against the Denver Broncos and quickly ruled doubtful to return. Following the contest, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll stated that Adams had suffered a “serious quad injury”.
Ravens CB Kyle Fuller out for Season With Torn ACL
The former All-Pro cornerback tore his ACL in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets ending his season, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. After a mountain of injuries last season, the Ravens have their first major injury of the 2022 season.
Eagles DE Derek Barnett out for Season With Torn ACL
Barnett tore his ACL during Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The sixth-year player from Tennessee just signed a one-year contract to remain in Philadelphia, and now he will miss the rest of the season.
Harris’ Foot Injury Tests Come Back Negative
Pittsburgh Steelers’ RB Najee Harris underwent tests for the foot injury he sustained on Sunday. Harris’ tests came back negative and the Steelers believe he will be available for their Week 2 matchup against the Patriots.
Buccaneers Are Optimistic About Godwin’s Hamstring
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles is optimistic that WR Chris Godwin can return to action “sooner rather than later.” The Buccaneers believe Godwin’s hamstring injury is not as severe as they originally thought.
Mac Jones Suffering From Back Spasms
Jones was seen struggling to walk back to the locker room during Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins with an apparent back injury. Jones got some good news on Monday that he is just suffering from back spasms, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Because of the nature of Jones’ back injury, there is a chance he will play this upcoming week.
T.J. Watt Might Return This Season
Watt left the game against the Cincinnati Bengals late in the fourth quarter with an injury to his left pectoral muscle. According to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones, there is optimism in the Steelers organization he didn’t fully tear the pectoral muscle and could miss as little as a month. There hasn’t been any official word, but this is a great sign for a Steelers team that just signed Watt to a massive extension.
Dak Prescott to Miss 6-8 Weeks
The Dallas Cowboys will be without their starting quarterback Dak Prescott for a huge chunk of the NFL season following his injury on Sunday night, according to ESPN. Prescott will require surgery to repair his hand, which puts Dallas into a precarious situation with Cooper Rush left as the starting QB. Dallas lost their first game of the season to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football and could be in for a rough stretch to start the season without their star QB.
