Kickers and D/STs to Stream for Fantasy Football Week 13
With the fantasy playoffs looming, it's becoming tougher to stream kickers and defenses. Alas, the art of streaming never ceases to exist, so here are the top options for Week 13.
As a reminder, eligible kickers and defenses for this column are not rostered in more than 50% of leagues, per FantasyPros' rostership data. And all stats are credited to TruMedia unless stated otherwise.
Most of the good defenses don't fall under that threshold, so it's a bit of slim pickings this week. Of course, with the fantasy playoffs looming large, it's important to look ahead and stash any defenses with good upcoming matchups.
As for kickers, those have been easy to find each week. These are three I like for Week 13.
Top Kickers to Stream for Week 13
Jason Myers at Los Angeles Rams
- Myers is rostered in 48.2% of leagues
- He has the third-most fantasy points among kickers this season.
- His numbers have actually dipped over the past three games from a season average of 10.1 fantasy points per game to 8 fantasy points per game.
- However, Myers did score 10 fantasy points in Week 12 against the Raiders.
- The Rams have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to kickers.
- Although, they've allowed 10+ fantasy points to kickers in each of their last four games.
- This is an indoor game.
- I'm expecting Myers to fall within the 8-14 point range.
Ryan Succop v. New Orleans Saints
- Succop is rostered in 42.1% of leagues
- He has the eighth-most fantasy points among kickers this season.
- Succop only has 8 total fantasy points in his last two games.
- But he has five games of 10+ fantasy points this season and only three games with 6 fantasy points or fewer.
- Luckily, Succop gets a juicy matchup against New Orleans in Week 13.
- The Saints have allowed the third-most fantasy points to kickers.
- Only two kickers have scored fewer than 8 fantasy points against New Orleans.
- And 8/12 kickers have scored 10+ fantasy points.
- I'm expecting Succop to fall within the 7-12 point range.
Cameron Dicker at Las Vegas Raiders
- Dicker is rostered in 18.4% of leagues
- His four fantasy performances with the Chargers: 8, 12, 10, 5.
- That's the fifth-most fantasy points among kickers in that span.
- He's also 8/8 in field goals and 8/8 in extra points.
- The Raiders have only allowed the 17th-most fantasy points to kickers this season.
- But they've allowed 10+ fantasy points to the position in three of their last four games.
- The fourth game was an eight-point performance to Chase McLaughlin.
- This is an indoor game.
- I'm expecting Dicker to fall within the 6-10 point range.
Top D/STs to Stream for Week 13
Seahawks D/ST at Los Angeles Rams
- Rostered in 10% of leagues
- Sure, Seattle D/ST had 45 fantasy points between Weeks 6 and 9.
- They also have -4 total points in their last two games against Tampa Bay and Las Vegas.
- But no team has allowed more points to opposing fantasy D/STs than Los Angeles.
- The Chiefs D/ST just scored 13 fantasy points against a banged-up Rams offense.
- "Banged-up" may be underselling it; the Rams are littered with injuries.
- As of now, it's unclear who will be Los Angeles' starting quarterback in Week 13.
- It could easily be Bryce Perkins again.
- Besides, Seattle has the third-most takeaways per game this season.
- This is purely a high-upside matchup play.
Browns D/ST at Houston Texans
- Rostered in 28.7% of leagues
- Similar to the Seahawks, this is a favorable matchup to target.
- While Browns D/ST is only 29th in fantasy points, the Texans' offense has been giving away fantasy points.
- Opponent D/ST fantasy scores against Houston in the last five games: 11, 8, 8, 21, 20.
- Davis Mills and Kyle Allen have both thrown multiple picks in their last starts.
- Houston also allowed two defensive touchdowns in each of their last two games.
- That's unlikely to happen again in Week 13, though the Texans are still tied for the third-most giveaways per game.
- The return of Deshaun Watson could also provide Houston with either extra motivation or a negative game script, which can lead to garbage-time points. It's a risky start, but there aren't many better, widely available defenses.
Steelers D/ST at Atlanta Falcons
- Rostered in 40.2% of leagues
- T.J.Watt's return has seemingly revitalized the Steelers' defense.
- Pittsburgh D/ST has 12 fantasy points in two of their last three games.
- Those two games came against the Saints and Colts.
- That other game? Steelers D/ST scored zero points against Cincinnati.
- The Falcons are tied for the fifth-most giveaways per game.
- Opponent D/ST fantasy scores against Atlanta in the last three games: 12, 6, 6.
- Pittsburgh D/ST is not a must-stream; they're just one of the best widely available options.
