Chase Daniel

NFL Quarterback

Chase Daniel is a former NFL quarterback who played most recently for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Daniel started his NFL career in 2009, spending time in Washington, Kansas City, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Chicago and Detroit. He was a member of the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV Championship team.

Daniel’s biggest moment came on Thanksgiving Day in Week 12 of the 2018 season when he was named the starter for a matchup against the Detroit Lions. He completed 27 of 37 pass attempts for 230 yards passing and two passing touchdowns in a 23-16 victory.

Daniel got his start in the NFL when Washington signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2009, after an illustrious career at the University of Missouri.

Daniel is regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the school’s history, guiding the Tigers to within one win of a BCS National Championship appearance in the 2007 season.

Missouri reached No. 1 in the AP Poll for the first time since 1960 with Daniel at quarterback. Daniel threw for 4,306 yards passing and 33 touchdowns during that 2007 season and received an invite to New York City as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Daniel was born and raised in Texas, attending Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. He was initially a wide receiver but excelled as a quarterback in his junior and senior years throwing for 8,298 yards and 91 touchdowns.

Daniel and his wife have three children.
