Dolphins, Eagles Cancel Joint Practice
The Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles canceled a joint practice that was scheduled for Thursday following news that several people within the Dolphins organization were dealing with a stomach bug.
The move was likely made out of an abundance of caution in advance of the teams' upcoming preseason matchup on Saturday in Miami. It is not suspected that the illnesses are COVID-related. `
The #Dolphins cross-checked what players have eaten and don’t see a common thread there. They’re confident it’s a bug, which is why they canceled today’s practice to stop the spread. No concerns at this point about Saturday’s game with the #Eagles.

Reports indicate that the Eagles will practice separately as the Dolphins continue to recover and the teams prepare for this weekends' preseason finale in Miami. The Dolphins, meanwhile, are set to meet virtually in lieu of an in-person practice.
The two teams joined for practice yesterday with just two weeks to go until the start of the regular season. The Eagles will open play with a Week 1 game against the Lions in Detroit while the Dolphins will take on New England at home to start their season.
