Broncos Wilson Ruled Out Against the Jets

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has been ruled out for the team's Week 7 game against the New York Jets, according to ESPN. Wilson suffered a hamstring injury during the team's Week 6 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. He will be held out to avoid a lingering injury as his status for beyond Week 7 remains up in the air. The Broncos will start Brett Rypien in his place against the Jets.

Packers Take Watkins Off Injured Reserve, Place Cobb on IR

Green Bay Packers receiver Sammy Watkins has been taken off injured reserve while Randall Cobb finds himself on it, according to ESPN. Watkins had been placed on IR after suffering a hamstring injury. He remains on the injury report listed as questionable for the team's Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders.

With Watkins getting healthy the Packers now move wide receiver Randall Cobb to injured reserve due to an ankle injury. Cobb suffered the injury in the team's Week 6 loss to the New York Jets. He will miss at least the next four weeks with the IR designation.

Commanders Place Wentz on Injured Reserve

Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz has been placed on injured reserve, according to ESPN. Wentz is recovering after having surgery to repair a broken finger on his throwing hand. He is now set to miss at least the next four games which include games against his former teams the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles.

Browns Linebacker Deion Jones Set for Debut

Newly acquired Cleveland Browns linebacker Deion Jones has been taken off injured reserve and is set to make his team debut against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7, according to NFL Media. Jones was acquired by the Browns via trade with the Atlanta Falcons on October 10th and had not played this season due to a shoulder injury. Jones had played in every game the past three seasons with the Falcons prior to suffering his shoulder injury before the start of the 2022 season.

Lions Make Punter Highest Paid in League with Extension

The Detroit Lions signed punter Jack Fox to an extension that will make him the highest paid at his position, according to NFL Media. It is a three year extension for Fox with a reported average salary of $3.775 million that comes with $7.5 million guaranteed. Fox would have been a restricted free agent this offseason but Detroit locks him up as a part of their future plans.

Texans Pass Rusher Greenard Placed on Injured Reserve

Houston Texans pass rusher Jonathan Greenard has been placed on injured reserve due to a calf injury he sustained in practice this week, according to ESPN. The team expects him to miss the next four to six weeks. Greenard has 1.5 sacks on the season and has played in 29 games since being drafted by the team three seasons ago.
