Colts Head Coaching Decision Coming Soon

The Colts will be making a decision on their next head coach in "days not hours," owner Jim Irsay Tweeted.

The Colts' process has been one of the longer ones this cycle. They were the second team to begin a head coaching search after firing Frank Reich in November.

Candidates for the Colts' job include New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, New York Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday, Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen.

49ers Plan to Hire Wilks as Defensive Coordinator

The 49ers are planning to hire former Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks as their defensive coordinator, NFL Media reported. Wilks was let go by the Panthers after they interviewed him for their permanent head coaching job but decided to hire Frank Reich instead.

Wilks, who started the season as Carolina's secondary coach, took over after Matt Rhule was fired in October and led the Panthers to a 6-6 record. Wilks replaces DeMeco Ryans, who became the Texans' head coach.

Also, there is a good chance respected defensive line coach Kris Kocurek stays on, ESPN reports.

Titans Add Coaching Trio

The Tennessee Titans officially hired Tim Kelly as their new offensive coordinator, while Charles London is their new pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, NFL Media reported. On defense, Chris Harris is their defensive pass game coordinator and cornerbacks coach.

The team announced it has hired Lori Locust as the first female full-time coach in team history. She will be in charge of defensive quality control.
