Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Earns Master's Degree from Oklahoma
Analysis 5/13/23
Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has had quite a few notable moments during the past few months.
In January and February, the third-year pro led the Eagles through the NFC playoffs and to the Super Bowl ... and nearly to victory against the Kansas City Chiefs. Hurts was an MVP finalist after passing for 3,701 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushing for 750 and 13 more.
In April, he signed a five-year, $255 million contract extension, with more than $179 million guaranteed. At the time, it made him the highest-paid player in NFL history. His deal subsequently was eclipsed by the contract Lamar Jackson received from the Baltimore Ravens.
On Friday, it was revealed Hurts, 24, had graduated with his Master's Degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma.

In Hurts' lone season at Oklahoma, he threw for 3,851 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,079 yards and led the Sooners to the College Football Playoff.
During his first two years in college, he was the starting quarterback for Alabama. He spent most of his junior season as a backup to Tua Tagovailoa before transferring to Oklahoma for his final year.
