NFL Week 12: Wildest Stats From Thanksgiving Day Games

Jefferson Moves on Up

With a 37-yard reception in the second quarter, Justin Jefferson broke Randy Moss’ record for most receiving yards in NFL history through a player’s first three seasons (4,248). Jefferson finished with nine receptions for 139 yards and now has 21 career 100-yard games, tying Adam Thielen for fourth-most in team history.

Coming Up Short ... Again

Coming into Week 12, the Patriots ranked 31st in red-zone touchdown rate. They took a step toward last place by going o-3 in the red area against the Vikings.

Dallas Does Blowouts

Even though Dak Prescott has missed 45% of their games, the Cowboys are second in the NFL in point differential at plus-92. After beating the Bengals by three points in Week 2, Dallas' last seven victories have been by an average of 17.

Key to Victory

Buffalo is now 22-1 when Josh Allen has a rushing and passing touchdown in the regular season. He had two passing touchdowns and added another on the ground against the Lions. Allen has accounted for 28 (23 pass, 5 rush) of the Bills' 38 offensive touchdowns on the season.

What Took So Long?

Rookie James Houston, the Lions’ sixth-round pick, made his debut on Thursday after spending the first 11 weeks on the team’s practice squad. Called up last-minute and added to the active roster, Houston finished with two sacks and a fumble recovery.

Touchdown Machine

Jamaal Williams, who last week tied Barry Sanders for the most multi-touchdown games in a season (5), leads the NFL in touchdowns scored with 13 after adding one more against the Bills. The former Packers running back had 13 career rushing touchdowns coming into the season.

Bills Own Ford Field

The Buffalo Bills became the first team to win back-to-back games at Ford Field since 2016. Because of a snowstorm, they had to play at the stadium four days earlier, beating the Browns, 31-23.

Sack-Religious

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons (2 sacks) recorded his sixth game this season with two-plus sacks, giving him 12 for the season. Parsons became just the third player in league history with 12-plus sacks in each of his first two seasons, joining Hall of Famer Reggie White and Aldon Smith.

End of a Long Drought

Before Saquon Barkley’s touchdown run that gave the Giants an early lead, New York hadn’t scored an offensive TD on Thanksgiving since 1938, when Ed Danowski hit Dale Burnett for a touchdown pass. The Giants haven’t won on Thanksgiving in 40 years.
