Defensive end Brandon Graham has agreed to terms on a one-year deal to stay with the Philadelphia Eagles, declining to enter free agency, ESPN reported. The deal is worth up to $6 million.

Graham, 34, is coming off a season in which he posted a personal-best 11 sacks and added 16 quarterback hits while helping lead Philadelphia to its second Super Bowl appearance in his tenure.

"It wasn't even about no money. It was more about wanting to be an Eagle as long as I could still play at a high level,"  Graham told ESPN, "and of course, I still have a sour taste in my mouth on how things ended this last year [with a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl]."

The move comes amidst an apparent Eagles cap crunch. The team granted permission to Darius Slay to seek a trade on Friday, with a looming $26.1 million cap hit for the Pro Bowl cornerback set to hit the books in 2023.

Graham had been No. 53 on The 33rd Team's list of the Top 150 available free agents.

The veteran has appeared in 178 regular-season games, the most among current Philadelphia players.
