2023 NFL Free Agent Rankings: Top 150 Available Players
NFL free agency officially begins on March 15 at the start of a new league year. Two days earlier, on March 13, teams can begin contract negotiations with unrestricted free agents but can't officially sign them until 4 p.m. ET on the 15th.
Teams can bring back their own free agents by using the franchise or transition tags prior to March 7. After that deadline passes, players who are not tagged become unrestricted free agents and can negotiate with any team once the negotiating window opens on March 13.
With players getting tagged and veterans getting released, The 33rd Team's top 150 free agents list below will change frequently between now and the start of free agency. We will update the rankings accordingly.
Note: All ages are calculated by how old the player will be at the kickoff of the 2023 NFL season on Sept. 7.
Top 150 Free Agents
1. Lamar Jackson, QB, Age 26
2022: Passing Yards: 2,242 | Passing TDs: 17 | INTs: 7 | QBR: 59.1
Lamar Jackson will define this year's free agency — if he ever gets there, and there's no reason to believe he will. He is a former MVP and a top-10 quarterback. The Baltimore Ravens are 45-16 in games when Jackson starts. Quarterbacks of this caliber are rarely available in free agency, and it's difficult to imagine a scenario in which the Ravens allow him to get there. But for now, he sits atop our rankings.
MARCH 7 UPDATE: The Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson.
2. Derek Carr, QB, Age 32
2022: Passing Yards: 3,522 | Passing TDs: 24 | INTs: 14 | QBR: 55.5
Derek Carr has moments when he is clutch (33 game-winning drives) and others when he makes questionable decisions. Someone is going to bet on his upside and pay him big this offseason. He's already visited with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, and is expected to meet with the Carolina Panthers at the NFL Combine, so there's a strong market for his services.
MARCH 6 UPDATE: The Saints and Carr agreed to a four-year contract.
3. Saquon Barkley, RB, Age 26
2022: Rush Yards: 1,312 | Rush TDs: 10 | Catches: 57 | Rec. Yards: 338
Saquon Barkley returned to prominence in 2022, showcasing his explosion and ability to carry an offense. He stayed healthy all season and bounced back from two down years with more than 1600 yards from scrimmage. He added two TDs in the New York Giants' first playoff win in more than 10 years.
He will be one of the top playmakers available in free agency, but the Giants can use the franchise tag on him. Both sides have expressed interest in reaching a long-term agreement.

4. Jessie Bates, S, Age 26
2022: Tackles: 71 | INTs: 4 | PBUs: 7 | FF: 1
After playing last season on the franchise tag for just less than $13 million, Jessie Bates likely will be looking for a long-term deal at the top of the safety market. If the Cincinnati Bengals were to tag him again, that number would go up to 120 percent of his 2022 salary. Cincinnati also has to worry about extensions for players like Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins in the near future.
If Bates makes it to the market, he will be highly sought after thanks to his strong play, which includes an All-Pro 2020 season.
5. Orlando Brown Jr., OT, Age 27
2022: Snaps: 1133 | Penalties: 6 | Sacks Allowed: 4 | Pressures: 39
Orlando Brown Jr. has been solid at left tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs; however, he is likely asking for top left tackle money when his play doesn't necessarily merit that kind of contract. Like Bates, Brown played the 2022 season on the franchise tag, earning $16.7 million.
Kansas City could tag him again, but Brown's salary would be 120 percent of last season's amount. The Chiefs seem motivated to re-sign him, but if they don't, Brown will receive a huge payday elsewhere.
6. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Age 25
2022: Tackles: 67 | INTs: 6 | PBUs: 8 | FF: 0
The Philadelphia Eagles traded for Chauncey Gardner-Johnson last offseason, and he answered the bell in a big way this season. He led the league with six interceptions and the Eagles with eight pass breakups as part of a top-tier secondary. Gardner-Johnson is a versatile chess piece who can drop into the box, cover TEs and RBs and stuff the run.
The Eagles have multiple other high-impact free agents on defense — specifically the defensive line — so Gardner-Johnson could hit the open market if Philadelphia values other positions over safety.

7. Javon Hargrave, IDL, Age 30
2022: Tackles: 60 | Sacks: 11 | Run Stuffs: 4.5 | FF: 1
Javon Hargrave was at the heart of the Eagles' historical success up front on defense this year. He had favorable matchups all season because foes paid so much attention to the Eagles' edge rushers. He was a wrecking ball with a career-high 11 sacks and was involved in three turnovers.
Hargrave is 30 and may not command a monstrous deal, but he is a top-flight defensive tackle who stands out in this market.
MARCH 13 Update: The 49ers and Hargrave agreed to a four-year, $84 million deal.
8. Josh Jacobs, RB, Age 25
2022: Rush Yards: 1,653 | Rush TDs: 12 | Catches: 53 | Rec. Yards: 400
Josh Jacobs lead the league in rushing and scrimmage yards, and he did it with little offensive line help from the Las Vegas Raiders. Jacobs is a true RB1 and is only 25. He's going to draw a lot of attention on the open market.
The Raiders could have avoided this outcome by picking up Jacobs' fifth-year option before the 2022 season, but they decided it wasn't worth it.

9. Mike McGlinchey, OT, 28
2022: Snaps: 987 | Penalties: 10 | Sacks Allowed: 6 | Pressures: 26
Mike McGlinchey is 28 and has been an anchor at right tackle for the San Francisco 49ers, starting 12 or more games in four of his five NFL seasons. The 49ers likely will re-sign McGlinchey to stay opposite Trent Williams.
10. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Age 31
2022: Passing Yards: 2,437 | Passing TDs: 16 | INTs: 4 | QBR: 54.3
There is no doubt Jimmy Garoppolo has been a winner with the 49ers. Garoppolo trails only Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Jackson, and Tom Brady in quarterback win percentage since he joined the 49ers in 2017. However, the 49ers already have committed to moving on from Garoppolo this offseason.
His health is a major question, but some quarterback-needy teams will desire Garoppolo.
MARCH 13 UPDATE: The Raiders and Garoppolo agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million deal.
11. James Bradberry, CB, Age 30
2022: Tackles: 44 | INTs: 3 | PBUs: 17 | FF: 0
James Bradberry had his best season with the Eagles of his seven in the NFL and was selected second-team All-Pro. Bradberry was one of the best shutdown corners in 2022 and was part of arguably the NFL's best 1-2 tandem with Darius Slay. Despite his crucial holding penalty in the Super Bowl, Bradberry is one of the top cornerbacks available.
Bradberry hinted at wanting more than a one-year deal while cleaning out his locker in a press conference with reporters after the Super Bowl.
MARCH 14 UPDATE: The Eagles re-signed Bradberry to a three-year, $38 million deal.
12. Daron Payne, IDL, Age 26
2022: Tackles: 64 | Sacks: 11.5 | Run Stuffs: 8 | FF: 0
Daron Payne had a career season in 2022. He racked up career bests in pass deflections, sacks, tackles, TFLs, and quarterback hits en route to his first Pro Bowl. He was a force on the talented Washington Commanders' defensive line, and he'll be just 26 this season. As one of the best interior defenders in football, there's a solid chance he never reaches the open market. The Commanders are expected to franchise tag Payne at a cost of just under $19 million.
FEB. 28 UPDATE: The Commanders placed the franchise tag on Payne.
MARCH 12 UPDATE: Payne signed a four-year, $90 million deal with the Commanders.
13. Lavonte David, LB, Age 33
2022: Tackles: 124 | Sacks: 3 | PBUs: 5 | FF: 1
Lavonte David is an aging linebacker at the core of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' recent run of success, but he is showing no signs of slowing down. He played all 17 games and logged the 23rd most tackles in the league last season.
Given the Buccaneers' roster construction, David likely will hit the open market and go to a contender to ring chase.
MARCH 15 UPDATE: The Buccaneers re-signed David to a one-year, $7 million deal.
14. Daniel Jones, QB, Age 26
2022: Passing Yards: 3,205 | Passing TDs: 15 | INTs: 5 | QBR: 60.8
Daniel Jones had his fifth-year option declined last offseason, making 2022 a make-or-break year for Jones under new coach Brian Daboll. Jones stayed healthy, cut his turnovers by more than 50 percent, and led the Giants to the playoffs. He showed a new, surprising element of speed and toughness with his running ability, something the Giants should look to build on in 2023.
Jones showed considerable improvement, but the sides seem to be at an impasse in long-term contract talks. Jones reportedly wants $45 million per year after firing his agent. In all likelihood, this could lead the Giants to franchise tag Jones at $32.4 million for next season.
MARCH 7 UPDATE: The Giants agreed to terms with Jones on a four-year, $160 million deal.
15. Geno Smith, QB, Age 32
2022: Passing Yards: 4,282 | Passing TDs: 30 | INTs: 11 | QBR: 60.8
Geno Smith revived his career this past season with the Seattle Seahawks, miraculously guiding them to the playoffs. Seattle owns the No. 5 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, so should it could opt to bring in a young quarterback.
However, Smith has expressed interest in returning to Seattle. And in an interview this offseason, general manager John Schneider said he'd like to bring Smith back.
MARCH 6 UPDATE: The Seahawks re-signed him to a three-year, $105 million deal.
16. Tony Pollard, RB, Age 26
2022: Rush Yards: 1,007 | Rush TDs: 9 | Catches: 39 | Rec. Yards: 371
Tony Pollard had an exceptional season before sustaining a broken ankle in the playoffs. Pollard put up nearly 1,400 scrimmage yards on more than five yards per carry as the Dallas Cowboys' lead back. He took a majority of the snap share from Ezekiel Elliott. Pollard is a dynamic player who can be used all over the field and is one of the best backs in space in the NFL.
He's hard to tackle with arm tackles and runs through contact. The Cowboys have a tough decision to make when it comes to whether they want to keep Pollard and Elliot, just Elliott or just Pollard.Â

17. Jason Kelce, OC, Age 35
2022: Snaps: 1,149 | Penalties: 8 | Sacks Allowed: 0 | Pressures: 11
Jason Kelce is the best center in football and it's not particularly close. Kelce was dominant as the vocal leader, communicator, and enforcer of the Eagles' offensive line. His athleticism and ability to move in space are textbook for younger NFL linemen.
Kelce is undecided about playing next season, but if he does return, it's almost guaranteed he'll be back in Philly.
MARCH 13 UPDATE: The Eagles re-signed Kelce for a one-year, $9 million deal.
18. Jimmie Ward, S, Age 32
2022: Tackles: 50 | INTs: 3 | PBUs: 5 | FF: 1
Jimmie Ward has been a cornerstone piece of the 49ers' defense since he was drafted in 2014, but he'll be 32 next season. That age, for a defensive back, makes him a question mark, depending on his asking price. Ward is coming off two of his better seasons, securing multiple interceptions in 2021 and 2022.
19. Cameron Sutton, CB, Age 28
2022: Tackles: 43 | INTs: 3 | PBUs: 15 | FF: 0
Cameron Sutton is a versatile corner that can play in the slot and out wide. Sutton has started three seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers, one in the slot and two outside. Sutton is coming off his best season and has shown to be a versatile cornerback option.
20. Jakobi Meyers, WR, Age 26
2022: Rec. Yards: 804 | Rec. TDs: 6 | Catches: 67 | Avg: 12.0
Jakobi Meyers is the best slot receiver available in the 2023 free agency class. He has produced well for the New England Patriots during the past four seasons. His dependability will be attractive to any team.
New England has more than $32 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap, so it's possible he returns there next season.
MARCH 14 UPDATE: The Raiders and Meyers agreed on a three-year, $33 million deal.
21. Jamel Dean, CB, Age 26
2022: Tackles: 57 | INTs: 2 | PBUs: 8 | FF: 0
Jamel Dean is only 26 and plays a highly coveted position. He is an ascending player who should do nicely this offseason. Expect the cap-strapped Buccaneers to extend an offer, but he could be out of their price range.
MARCH 13 Update: The Buccaneers re-signed Dean to a four-year, $52 million deal.
22. David Long, LB, 26
2022: Tackles: 86 | Sacks: 0 | PBUs: 5 | INTs: 2
David Long is a linebacker with natural instincts to track the ball and make interceptions. He was one of the better off-ball run defenders of the 2022 season. The Titans already cut offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, wide receiver Robert Woods, kicker Randy Bullock and linebacker Zach Cunningham, saving the team nearly $38 million against the salary cap. Those moves and any additional cuts could allow them to bring back Long on a long-term deal.
23. Dalton Schultz, TE, Age 27
2022: Rec. Yards: 577 | Rec. TDs: 5 | Catches: 57 | Avg: 10.1
Dalton Schultz overcame a slow start to the season as he was nagged by injuries. He had two multi-touchdown games in the last eight weeks and ended the season with three TDs in two playoff games.
He is a solid receiving and blocking tight end who should command a near-top-of-the-market deal for a tight end. The Cowboys tagged Schultz last season, and his value on the second tag would run them $13.1 million. It also would prevent them from tagging Pollard.
24. Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Age 25
2022: Tackles: 102 | Sacks: 1 | PBUs: 7 | INTs: 1
Tremaine Edmunds has been in the middle of the Buffalo Bills' defense since being drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Edmunds improved in the one area some considered him to be weak in this season — coverage. Edmunds has five NFL seasons under his belt and will turn 25 this spring, so he will be a hot commodity this cycle.
25. Miles Sanders, RB, Age 26
2022: Rush Yards: 1,269 | Rush TDs: 11 | Catches: 20 | Rec. Yards: 78
Miles Sanders had never produced a 1,000-yard season before 2022. He answered critics with a career year — 1,269 yards and 11 TDs. Sanders was the leading back for the Eagles, who also had talented backups in Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott. Sanders is a steady, versatile back who can run outside and in between the tackles.
MARCH 15 Update: The Panthers and Sanders agreed to a four-year deal.
26. Isaac Seumalo, IOL, Age 29
2022: Snaps: 1,135 | Penalties: 6 | Sacks Allowed: 1 | Pressures: 20
Isaac Seumalo is a rock-solid guard. He started all 20 Eagles games this past season and was one of the top guards in football. He can play either guard spot and will be paid handsomely for his versatility and ability. The Eagles have many other free agents and limited cap space, so it's hard to imagine Seumalo returning to Philadelphia.
27. Ben Powers, IOL, Age 26
2022: Snaps: 1,094 | Penalties: 1 | Sacks Allowed: 0 | Pressures: 12
Ben Powers is one of the top guards on the market. He is a three-year starter for the Ravens and is one of the better pass-blocking guards in the NFL. Baltimore's main focus will be on Jackson, but they'd be wise to lock up Powers, too, because he'll help whoever is playing quarterback next season.
28. Evan Engram, TE, Age 29
2022: Rec. Yards: 766 | Rec. TDs: 4 | Catches: 73 | Avg: 10.5
Evan Engram is one of the top tight ends in this free-agent class. He took a big leap by joining the Jacksonville Jaguars and had a lot of production with quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He can line up all over the field and take the top off of defenses with his speed.
Engram has said there is mutual interest in staying with the Jaguars next season. In fact, Engram tweeted "My heart dropped I thought this was the announcement 😂" in response to a Jaguars' Tweet about his season. This seemingly indicates Engram is expected to be brought back.
MARCH 6 UPDATE: The Jaguars placed the franchise tag on Engram.
29. Vonn Bell, S, Age 28
2022: Tackles: 77 | INTs: 4 | PBUs: 8 | FF: 2
Vonn Bell is the other half, along with Bates, of Cincinnati's dynamic safety duo. Bell had a career-best season in ball production as his four INTs and eight PBUs helped the Bengals reach the AFC Championship game.
Perhaps Bell will cost less than Bates, allowing Bell to return to Cincinnati next season. If not, plenty of teams will be interested in grabbing Bell after a career season.
30. Kaleb McGary, OT, Age 28
2022: Snaps: 1,051 | Penalties: 5 | Sacks Allowed: 6 | Pressures: 19
One of the pivotal elements of the Atlanta Falcons' run game, Kaleb McGary played in all 17 games and was one of the better tackles in the league, letting up the 23rd fewest sacks and notching the most run-block snaps in the league. Expect Atlanta to sign him quickly at top dollar.
31. Azeez Al-Shaair, LB, Age 26
2022: Tackles: 44 | Sacks: 0 | PBUs: 0 | INTs: 0
The stat sheet may not indicate it, but Azeez Al-Shaair has become a solid contributor for the 49ers. In 2021, Al-Shaair displayed his range on the field by totaling 102 tackles. Al-Shaair will be only 26 when the season starts and would add some range to any linebacker group.
32. Jordan Poyer, S, Age 32
2022: Tackles: 63 | INTs: 4 | PBUs: 8 | FF: 1
Jordan Poyer has been a dependable player for the Bills, contributing to the Buffalo defense for six seasons. Poyer is a great defender in the pass and run games, and he is still at the top of his game. Any team needing a veteran presence in the secondary will be interested.
33. Fletcher Cox, IDL, Age 32
2022: Tackles: 43 | Sacks: 7 | Run Stuffs: 3 | FF: 1
Fletcher Cox had a smaller role because the Eagles added Haason Reddick and gave Josh Sweat more opportunities in 2022. Cox is one of the longest-tenured Eagles currently and all-time (184 games). He is a great veteran leader who can still play well. His seven sacks came while only playing 65 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps.
MARCH 15 Update: The Eagles and Cox agreed on a one-year, $10 million deal.
34. Jawaan Taylor, OT, Age 25
2022: Snaps: 1,095 | Penalties: 7 | Sacks Allowed: 5 | Pressures: 16
Jawaan Taylor is a young offensive tackle who has more room for growth. He can handle power rushers and has the ideal measurables (6-foot-5, 312 pounds) to last at the position for a long time. He had the third-lowest pressure rate allowed among right tackles in 2022.
The Jaguars have more than $12 million in cap space, and they could use the tag on Taylor. However, the team also has Cam Robinson and Walker Little, who are capable of starting at tackle.
35. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Age 26
2022: Rec. Yards: 933 | Rec. TDs: 3 | Catches: 78 | Avg: 12.0
JuJu Smith-Schuster is a physical pass catcher who is route savvy and understands how to sit down in zone coverage well. For the current wide receiver market, Smith-Schuster could be an affordable high-end WR2.
MARCH 15 Update: The Patriots and Smith-Shuster agreed on a three-year, $33 million deal.
36. Robert Quinn, DE, Age 33
2022: Tackles: 10 | Sacks: 1 | Run Stuffs: 0 | FF: 0
Robert Quinn was a rare bust for the 2022 Eagles. He was traded to Philly from the Chicago Bears and was virtually a non-factor. He struggled to crack the Eagles' deep defensive line rotation and was a lightly used rotating defensive end.
Quinn can still play as evidenced by his 18.5 sacks in 2021, it just never worked out for him in 2022 in either Chicago or Philadelphia.
37. Julian Love, S, Age 25
2022: Tackles: 124 | INTs: 2 | PBUs: 5 | FF: 1
The 2022 season was Julian Love's first as a full-time starter. He was voted a defensive captain and thrived in the secondary as a leader and playmaker. Love rarely came off the field, playing 95 percent of the Giants' defensive snaps. He is a smart, dependable player who is utilized in many roles.
Love can blitz, play as the deep safety and stop the run. He had a knack for making game-changing plays such as his interception in the last 5 minutes vs. the Ravens in Week 6, a timely sack in Week 2 vs. the Carolina Panthers, and he helped clinch a win vs. Jacksonville in Week 7. He should only continue to get better.
38. Mike Gesicki, TE, Age 27
2022: Rec. Yards: 362 | Rec. TDs: 5 | Catches: 32 | Avg: 11.3
Mike Gesicki is one of the most athletic tight ends in the league (some consider him more of a "big slot WR"), but he had a hard time fitting into Mike McDaniel's system in Miami. He had 112 targets in 2021 but failed to reach half of that figure in 2022 (52). He will find a new team that wants to utilize his unique skillset more than Miami did this past season.
39. Germaine Pratt, LB, Age 27
2022: Tackles: 99 | Sacks: 1 | PBUs: 10 | INTs: 2
Germaine Pratt broke out in his fourth season with the Bengals. He was a key starter on a great defense and had his best season in coverage. Pratt has size at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, and speed; he ran a 4.57 40-yard dash (81st percentile for a LB) at the 2019 combine.
Pratt's speed shows up as he rallies to punish underneath routes and checkdowns. The downside is, while Pratt was great in 2022, it was his first season playing at an above-average level, so teams may view him as a risky addition at a lower-value position.
40. Nate Davis, IOL, Age 26
2022: Snaps: 682 | Penalties: 4 | Sacks Allowed: 3 | Pressures: 14
Nate Davis has good movement skills and is able to progress to the second level on zone runs to wall off second-level defenders. He needs to improve in pass protection, and he's recovering from a season-ending ankle injury.
The Titans struggled on the offensive line this season and have begun clearing cap space. Davis likely will hit the market, but a return to Tennessee isn't out of the question.
41. Marcus Davenport, DE, Age 27
2022: Tackles: 29 | Sacks: 0.5 | Run Stuffs: 2 | FF: 0
Marcus Davenport's production declined this year, but in 2021 he had nine sacks and three forced fumbles. He likely will be sought after as a young edge with a lot of explosive potential.
42. Marcus Peters, CB, Age 30
2022: Tackles: 47 | INTs: 1 | PBUs: 6 | FF: 2
Marcus Peters is a four-time All-Pro at cornerback, however, he is 30 and coming off one of his weakest seasons. Peters plays a high-risk style. He is targeted fairly often but makes up for it with great ball production. However, in 2022 Peters posted career lows in INTs and forced incompletions. Still, Peters' pedigree could make him appealing to a team in need of a veteran option on the outside.
43. David Montgomery, RB, Age 26
2022: Rush Yards: 801 | Rush TDs: 5 | Catches: 34 | Rec. Yards: 316
The 2022 season was another productive one for David Montgomery, both in rushing and in receiving. He was one of the better offensive weapons on a limited Bears roster. Montgomery will be one of the more sought-after backs this offseason.
MARCH 14 Update: The Lions and Montgomery agreed to a three-year, $18 million deal.
44. Ethan Pocic, IOL, Age 28
2022: Snaps: 819 | Penalties: 1 | Sacks Allowed: 2 | Pressures: 10
Ethan Pocic was in and out of the starting lineup during his five years in Seattle but played his best football in his first season with the Cleveland Browns. Pocic is an experienced player and is scheme versatile because the Browns mixed between zone and gap runs frequently.
45. Zach Allen, DE, Age 26
2022: Tackles: 47 | Sacks: 5.5 | Run Stuffs: 11 | FF: 0
Zach Allen has continued to improve each season in the NFL. Allen recorded career highs in pressures, quarterback hits, and sacks in 2022, and is only turning 26 this summer. Teams are always looking to add pass rushers, and Allen projects as a less-expensive option.
MARCH 14 Update: The Broncos and Allen agreed to a four-year, $45.75 million deal.
46. Dalton Risner, IOL, Age 28
2022: Snaps: 967 | Penalties: 1 | Sacks Allowed: 3 | Pressures: 29
Dalton Risner is a strong, rugged mauler who can bolster any team's interior offensive line. Risner ranked 10th in the league in run block win rate this past season among guards (74.4 percent), and he can set an anchor in pass pro.
Given Risner was seen arguing with backup quarterback Brett Rypien about not picking up Russell Wilson after a sack, it seems likely he'll play elsewhere in 2023.
47. Dalvin Tomlinson, IDL, Age 29
2022: Tackles: 42 | Sacks: 2.5 | Run Stuffs: 6.5 | FF: 1
Dalvin Tomlinson had another productive year on the Minnesota Vikings' defensive line. He brings consistent play in the running game and can rush the passer. Any team looking to shore up its interior defensive line will look to add Tomlinson.
48. Hayden Hurst, TE, Age 30
2022: Rec. Yards: 414 | Rec. TDs: 2 | Catches: 52 | Avg: 8
Hayden Hurst posted his second-best season in receptions and yards in his first year with the Bengals. Hurst has been a solid but not outstanding starter at TE. If a team misses out on some of the top-flight options, they could add Hurst at a cheaper price.

Leighton Vander Esch had a solid albeit unspectacular season. He missed the last three games of the regular season before returning for both playoff games. In 14 games, he had 90 tackles and was a dependable linebacker in Dallas' defense. He's been slowed down by injuries during his career, including neck surgery in 2019, but 2022 was his best season statistically since his rookie year.

Juan Thornhill has been inconsistent; sometimes impactful, other times invisible. He hasn't lived up to some of the draft hype he received, but he has been a good role player who is rarely caught out of position.

Brandon Graham was treated similarly to Cox in 2022. He had fewer snaps and is getting up there in age, but he still produced in big fashion. His 11 sacks came on just 474 snaps, and 22 of his 35 tackles were sacks or TFLs. He's still a threat off the edge and likely will join a contending team if he doesn't remain with the Eagles.

Brissett showed he can be the starter for a good offense with pieces around him. Brissett should be targeted by teams looking for a bridge quarterback or short-term starter.

Marcus Mariota started the first 13 games of the 2022 season for the Falcons before being benched for rookie Desmond Ridder, who started the final four games. It might be time to look for a No. 2 job, a role he served for two seasons with the Raiders backing up Derek Carr.

The reality is Penny is neither consistent nor healthy enough (he's missed an average of eight games per season) to maintain such a role, which will affect how teams view him.

Much like his teammate Gaines, A'Shawn Robinson is a nice rotational defensive lineman. Robinson will help in the run game, and it should not take a crazy deal to get someone with his skill set.

Foster Moreau filled in nicely for the Raiders in Darren Waller’s absence and showed he can be a reliable pass-catching tight end. Moreau could be a steal and give a franchise a big boost at tight end.

Kyzir White is a fun, electrifying force at linebacker. He thrived in Jonathan Gannon's defense as an off-ball linebacker in 2022. He has excellent speed and can run sideline-to-sideline with ease.

A former seventh-round pick, Geno Stone found himself playing consistent snaps each week for the Ravens. Stone played well filling in as a starter and maintained a role even when the starting safeties returned. Expect Baltimore to bring him back.

Duron Harmon is a consistent force at safety. He forced four total turnovers and is silky smooth in coverage. His age is a downside, but any team looking for a veteran safety on a short-term deal should look at Harmon.

Nasir Adderley stepped into the difficult AFC West and produced well for the Chargers whenever Derwin James was absent. Adderley is ready to take the next step and become a full-time starter. His stats could double with the additional playing time.

Denzel Perryman dealt with injuries this season and missed five games. When he was on the field, he was as productive as ever and back on his 2021 Pro Bowl pace. However, a 30-year-old linebacker with a shoulder injury will scare off some teams.

Jerry Tillery was claimed off waivers by the Raiders and played the second half of the season in Vegas. He did not record a sack with his new team and was mostly a run-stopper. Tillery will draw interest from teams who need an athletic defensive tackle on a budget.

Cody Ford was a much-anticipated second-round pick by the Bills in 2019, but he has struggled in the NFL. Ford started in only three games for the Cardinals, so it is likely another team will have a chance to pick him up for a low price.

Kwon Alexander is a middle-tier inside linebacker. He has not had many flashes. Any team seeking inside linebacker depth or a cheap starting option could look to Alexander.

Lamarcus Joyner struggled at free safety this year, and the Jets probably will replace him. Joyner has plenty of experience though, so a team with a young secondary might go after him.

Emmanuel Moseley flashed ability as an outside corner, but injuries have riddled him, especially a season-ending ACL tear in October. Moseley's recovery is worth monitoring for the 49ers, or other franchises that may be interested in him.

Devin Singletary was the Bills' starting running back this season, but RB James Cook ran much more efficiently when he got his opportunities. Singletary likely is headed to a new team in a backup role.

The definition of a solid backup QB, Andy Dalton filled in for Jameis Winston when he went down with an injury. Dalton is an asset to any team looking to add depth at QB, but likely not as a starter unless the Saints bring him back.

Raekwon McMillan played in 16 games for the Patriots this past season, but he didn't produce much on the stat sheet. If a team is looking for a downhill, thumper to stop the run, McMillan could be useful.

Damien Harris was slowly fazed out of the offense this season, and Rhamondre Stevenson did much better with his workload. Harris also has struggled with injuries, so he probably will sign with another team as a second- or third-string back.

The former No. 1 overall pick took an opportunity with the Rams after things did not work out in Carolina to start the season. You have to love the charisma Baker Mayfield possesses. He seems best suited as a backup but could find a hole in this market, where several teams are looking for a starting quarterback.
136. Jermaine Eluemunor, OT, Age 28

Jermaine Eluemunor graded out to be a solid right tackle for the Raiders, despite flying under the radar for the majority of the season. He surrendered only three sacks and earned a 75.3 grade from Pro Football Focus. He might have been the most cost-effective player for the Raiders this past year.
137. Kyle Van Noy, LB, Age 32

Kyle Van Noy was a welcome addition to the Chargers, with 32 solo tackles, five sacks, and 37 pressures. Van Noy has the versatility to play inside as a run stopper and outside as an edge pass rusher. That's the veteran savvy that makes him a valuable chess piece.
138. Jonathan Owens, S, Age 28

Jonathan Owens is a low-risk, high-reward type of player. He played a lot of Tampa 2 last year under former Texans coach Lovie Smith.

You could make a good case that Wentz doesn't belong on this list after what's happened to his career over the last three years, but quarterbacks are too valuable, especially ones — who in the right system and with the right coach — can be more than serviceable in a backup role. That might be tough to accept for a player like Wentz, who sees himself as a starter.

DeMarcus Walker had a breakout season as he set career highs in sacks, combined tackles, and QB hits. He displayed the ability to work across all positions on the defensive line and appeared in all 17 games. He needs to improve his hands and technique to get around offensive linemen better since he gets held up too often.

Chris Manhertz won’t be a threat as a receiver and has never had double-digit targets in a season. He is mainly used for his exceptional run blocking. He maintains good leverage and churns through his opponents with good lower-leg drive.

Andrew Adams is a seven-year veteran who had a mediocre 2022 season with the Titans but showed strong coverage in his first six seasons. He allowed a 63.2 percent passer rating during that span.

Carl Nassib played decently this season and is a quality depth guy on the edge but not a difference-maker. He can provide a nice veteran presence on a defensive line.

Rakeem Nunez-Roches filled in for Hicks when he got injured and earned a spot in the rotation. He was consistent and played hard. The Buccaneers may bring him back on a cheap deal and have him step into a bigger role.

There was not much production from Justin Bethel this season despite playing in 18 games. He only played 125 snaps and is likely to take another depth role with whatever team he signs with.

DeAndre Carter was a reliable slot target for the Chargers while Keenan Allen and Mike Williams missed time because of injuries. Even at 30, he is explosive and a jitterbug with the ball in his hands. His three fumbles might hurt his stock.

Jarvis Landry was plagued by injuries this season and was not impressive when on the field. He will try to bounce back next season, and he has the hands and veteran know-how to help a team if he can stay healthy.

Rodger Saffold started every game for the Bills at guard, but his play wasn't up to starting caliber. He gave up only two sacks, but he was in the bottom third in PFF's pass block grades and was one of the worst interior offensive linemen in the run game. Saffold likely will take a depth role for a team that needs experience on the offensive line.
150. Sam Darnold, QB, Age 30Â

Sam Darnold showed signs of life when he returned as the Panthers' starter at the end of the season. At this stage of his career, Darnold is probably best suited as a backup, but he also could be viewed as a low-end starter for a team seeking a bridge quarterback.
