NFL Week 14 Game Notes
Some interesting nuggets from all of Sunday's Week 14 games in the NFL:
Dallas 30 (4-9), Cincinnati 7 (2-10-1)

- Sunday was Andy Dalton’s first matchup against his former team.
- The Bengals fumbled on their first three drives, becoming the first team since 2013 to lose a fumble on each of their first three possessions. The Cowboys took a 10-0 first-quarter lead on a 78-yard fumble return by Aldon Smith. The Cowboys only had 11 turnovers entering Sunday.
- Cincy did not score until under a minute to go in the first half despite being in Dallas territory on three out of four drives in the first half. The Bengals’ only score was an A.J. Green touchdown, only his second of the season.
- The Bengals have now gone six straight games without scoring in the third quarter and have been outscored 33-0 in the third quarter since Week 7. They only have six points in the third quarter since Week 5.
- Ezekiel Elliott only had 48 yards on 12 carries. He has not had a rushing TD in eight games after having five in the first five games, the same game Dak Prescott was injured.

- The Texans have allowed their opponent to score on the first drive in seven consecutive games (6 TD’s) after David Montgomery opened with an 80-yard TD on his first attempt. This was the longest rush by a Bear since 1988. It is the first time they have scored from their side of the field in 38 games.
- The Bears scored 30 points in the first half. It is the second straight week they scored at least 23 points in the first half after not reaching 20 first-half points all year.
- Mitchell Trubisky had his most productive first half of the season. He was 18-for-21 for 178 with 3 TD passes. He led four first-half touchdowns to give Chicago a 30-7 halftime lead.
- Allen Robinson became the first Bears receiver with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons since Alshon Jeffery in 2013-2014.
- The Texans were eliminated from playoff contention with a loss.

- Davante Adams had his eighth straight game with a receiving touchdown, which breaks a tie with Hall of Famer Don Hutson for the longest streak in Packers history.
- Adams leads the league with 14 TD receptions this season.
- Adams is the first player in NFL history to have six plus catches & a receiving TD in eight straight games. (Via WesHod)
- Aaron Rodgers didn’t miss a pass until 5:55 left in the first half. He was 10-for-10 for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns before the incompletion.
- Rodgers had his fourth straight game with three or more TDs. Over these four games, he’s thrown one interception and been sacked three times
- The Packers controlled the clock for 12:39 in the third quarter.]
- Green Bay takes over as the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
- playoff picture after the Saints lose to the Eagles. Same record but Green Bay owns the tie breaker.

- In the first quarter, A.J. Brown caught his ninth TD of the season on a 37-yard flea-flicker to open the scoring. He surpassed his TD total from 2019 (8).
- Joe Schobert became the only player in the NFL with 500 tackles and 8 INTs since 2016. He had eight tackles and a TFL on Sunday.
- Derrick Henry had 122 rushing yards and a TD in the first half, outgaining the entire Jags team. He added two rushing TDs. He now has 52 career rushing TDs with the Titans, which trails only Earl Campbell (73) and Eddie Geroge (54) for the franchise lead.
- Sunday marked the fourth game Henry has rushed for 200 yards since 2018. The rest of the NFL has four such games.
- James Robinson reached 1,000 rushing yards in just 13 games, the fastest ever for an undrafted rookie in his first season.

- Jonathan Taylor picked up 62 total yards (42 rush, 20 receiving) on the first drive of the game
- Taylor reached 21.35 MPH to outrun three Raiders defenders to score a 62-yard TD.
- This is seventh time in Raiders history they have allowed 200-plus yards rushing in consecutive games. They last did it in 2009-10. (Josh Dubow)
- Under Jon Gruden, the Raiders are 0-17 when losing the turnover battle.
- No QB in NFL history has beaten the Raiders more than Philip Rivers.

- Dalvin Cook entered the game with four straight games of 30-plus carries, most in the league and most since Le’Veon Bell had six straight. Streak ended with only 22 carries. He did add a second-quarter rushing TD, bringing his total to 14, most in the NFL. His 102 rushing yards is the most the Bucs have given up all season.
- Tom Brady’s TD pass to Scotty Miller was his 29th of the season, which is now second-most in team history and surpassed Jameis Winston’s 2016 season with 28. He got his 30th on a 2-yard pass to Gronkowski.
- Scotty Miller has accounted for Brady’s four longest completions by air distance this season. (Next-Gen)
- Dan Bailey, the sixth-most accurate kicker of all time entering Sunday, missed all three of his FG attempts and his 1 PAT attempt.
- The Vikings are the only team this season to lose a game with 39-plus minutes of offensive possession, and this is the second time they have done it this season.

- Diontae Spencer had the Broncos’ first punt return TD since 2015 to open the scoring
- Drew Lock has nine of his 13 INTs this season on the road but he did not throw an INT Sunday. It is the first time in his career he has thrown 4 touchdowns.
- Brandon McManus missed 2 PATs in this game after only missing four in his career.
- Trailing by 15-plus entering the fourth quarter, the Panthers are 1-55. Their only win was against Philadelphia in 2018 after trailing 17-0.
- This season, the Panthers are 0-9 when allowing 22 points and 4-0 otherwise.

- Will Lutz misses his fourth FG of the year and the 2nd straight week he’s missed a 40+ Yarder for the Saints.
- The Eagles, last in the league in INTs with 3 coming into the game, get a tipped INT on a screen to Alvin Kamara. It was their first INT since Week 7.
- Jalen Hurts’ ability to run really killed the Saints in the first half. Hurts had 81 yards rushing at halftime.
- The Saints hadn’t given up a 100-yard rusher in 55 games; Hurts and Miles Sandders both topped 100 yards in this game.
- Sanders reached 20.95 MPH on his 82-yard TD run, his fastest as a ball carrier this year.
- The Saints fall to the No. 2 seed in the NFC

- In the first quarter, the Cardinals were 0-for-3 on third down, 0-for-1 on fourth down and 0-for-2 in the red zone. The Giants in the first half only had 58 yards. They had five punts and two fumbles, allowing Arizona to take a 13-0 halftime lead.
- Larry Fitzgerald now has at least one catch in 254 consecutive games, extending the second-longest streak in NFL history (Jerry Rice, 274).
- Hasson Reddick led Arizona with five of Arizona’s nine sacks, a franchise record . He also added three forced fumbles.
- The Cardinals and 49ers are now tied with the Giants for the most wins at MetLife this season with two each.

- Kansas City clinched the AFC West with a win, the Chiefs’ straight division title.
- Patrick Mahomes threw 2 interceptions in the first quarter. It is the first time K.C. has had multiple turnovers in a game this season. It is also Mahomes’ first multi-interception game since Week 11 of 2018. He added a second-half interception, his second career game with 3-plus INTs.
- Xavien Howard extended his interception streak to five games. He leads the NFL with nine this season. He has had two separate streaks of four straight games with an interception.
- After not being targeted in the first half, Tyreek Hill’s first reception was a 44-yard TD to open the second half. He also had a 32-yard TD run in the first half. Both scores were part of a 30-0 run for the Chiefs after Miami opened a 10-0 lead. Hill’s 16 TDs are tied for the third-most by a wide receiver through 13 games in the Super Bowl era. - Mahomes is now 5-0 the past two seasons (including postseason) when trailing by double digits in the first half.

- Keenan Allen scored his eighth touchdown of the season, tying his career-high set back in 2013 as a rookie

- Justin Herbert has now thrown 13 pass TD on third down this season, extending his lead for most in the NFL (Tom Brady is second with 11).

- Jamal Adams has 8.5 sacks on the season -- the most ever by a DB in a season (since sacks became an official stat)
- Seattle opened with 3 TDs in the first half to take a 23-3 lead. Russell Wilson was 15-for-19 with 147 yards, one TD and one INT. Seattle is now 43-0 when leading by 20-plus points at the half.
- After Sunday’s win, Wilson became the first QB in NFL history to start a career with nine straight winning seasons He also became the all-time winningest QB at home in a player’s first nine seasons (54), passing Brett Favre and Joe Flacco. Wilson is also now 34-9 after an in-season loss, the best record by any QB since the 1970 merger
- Late in the game, Wilson was replaced by Geno Smith at QB. It is the first time another QB has taken a snap for Seattle since 2017.
- A 37-point loss is the Jets’ worst since Dec. 24, 2016 when they lost 41-3 to the Patriots.

- Washington won its fourth straight game, the longest streak for the team since 2016 per Fox
