Brian O'Connell

Brian O’Connell has had a passion for sports from an early age. He’s a fan of nearly every sport, with baseball being the only one he refuses to watch. He has bet on almost everything you can imagine —  even Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest — but has found the most success with golf and the NFL.

Brian’s ability to manipulate numbers comes from his work in audience research and handling Excel files so large that he would often cause the application to crash. From then on, he learned R so he could effectively manage his data sets, and then he learned he could also use those skills for sports.

He has an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and is an avid Seminole fan. While not watching sports, Brian works at conservation-focused organizations, cooks or plays golf.
