Buffalo Bills Acquire Nyheim Hines from Colts
The Buffalo Bills traded for running back Nyheim Hines on Tuesday, according to ESPN. In exchange, the Colts will receive running back Zack Moss and a 2023 sixth-round pick. There was heavy speculation leading up to the 2022 NFL trade deadline that Hines would be dealt. He now finds himself on a serious contender, many would even say the Super Bowl favorites — the Buffalo Bills.
Hines joins a crowded running back group that has primarily featured Devin Singletary, though 2022 second-round pick James Cook has contributed more and more as he gains familiarity with the team and the league. Hines will have to carve out his role on one of the league's deepest and most explosive offenses but expect him to be a serious contributor.

Chiefs Send CB Rashad Fenton to Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons traded for Chiefs defensive back Rashad Fenton on Tuesday, according to ESPN. The Chiefs will receive a conditional seventh-round pick but, perhaps more importantly, the move also clears $1.4 million in cap space this season for Kansas City. The added relief will help the team maintain flexibility on a free-agent market that still features a game-changing wide receiver in Odell Beckham Jr. and other depth options that might be needed down the stretch.
Bills Add Defensive Back Dean Marlowe
The Buffalo Bills traded for Atlanta Falcons safety Dean Marlowe late Tuesday afternoon, ESPN reports. The Bills will send the Falcons a 2023 seventh-round pick to complete the deal, reuniting Marlowe with the team he played with for four seasons, most recently in 2020.
Falcons' Calvin Ridley Traded to Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired suspended wide receiver Calvin Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday, according to Mia O'Brien. Ridley's suspension is indefinite but will last at least through the remainder of the 2022 NFL season. The discipline Ridley faces stems from a November 2021 incident in which Ridley was found to have been betting on NFL games.
The Falcons' compensation is conditional, but the team will receive a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick that could rise to a second-rounder, depending upon when Ridley is reinstated. The earliest Ridley is eligible to apply for reinstatement is Feb. 15, 2023 — three days after Super Bowl LVII in Arizona.
Jets' Jacob Martin Headed to Denver
New York Jets pass rusher Jacob Martin was traded to the Denver Broncos on Tuesday, according to NFL Media. The Broncos will send a 2024 fourth-round pick and a 2024 fifth-rounder in exchange for Martin. He is likely to help fill the pass-rushing void left behind in the wake of Bradley Chubb's move to Miami.
49ers' Jeff Wilson Jr. Bound for Miami
The Miami Dolphins acquired San Fransisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. on Tuesday, according to NFL Media. In exchange, the 49ers will receive a 2023 fifth-round pick.
The Dolphins will add Wilson to a running back group that is saying farewell to Chase Edmonds after he was traded to the Broncos on Tuesday as part of a package for Denver edge rusher Bradley Chubb. However, the group still features talented back Raheem Mostert who has been the primary runner thus far in 2022.
Wilson will reunite with Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, who served as the 49ers' offensive coordinator last season.
Commanders' William Jackson III Traded to Steelers
The Washington Commanders traded cornerback William Jackson III to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, according to NFL Media. The Commanders were likely to release Jackson if they couldn't find a trade partner before the Nov. 1 trade deadline, according to earlier reports.
The Steelers will send a conditional 2025 sixth-round pick to the Commanders in exchange for Jackson and a conditional 2025 seventh-round pick. The move should help a Pittsburgh squad attempting to reinforce its defensive backfield in the second half of the season, without sacrificing serious future assets.
Jackson had expressed he wanted to be traded on Oct. 13 because he didn't feel like his man-coverage skillset fit the team's primary zone-coverage scheme. But the Commanders have done nothing but win since. Following their Week 6 win against the Bears, Washington has pulled itself back into contention with wins over the Packers and Colts.
