Report: Odell Beckham Jr. Drawing Interest From Multiple Teams
Analysis 3/12/23
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is drawing interest from multiple NFL teams following his workout on Friday in Arizona, NFL Media reported on Sunday.
Though Beckham hasn't begun negotiations, the market for his services is expected to heat up quickly.
Earlier reporting indicated Beckham was seeking at least $20 million annually; however, NFL Media's report from Sunday indicates Beckham hasn't made any financial demands.
The wide receiver most recently played for the Los Angeles Rams but sat out the entire 2022 NFL regular season while rehabbing a torn ACL he suffered in the Rams Super Bowl LVI victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Beckham was expected to sign during the 2022 season, as he met with the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. However, teams weren't convinced Beckham would be healthy enough for a postseason run. The Cowboys were the favorite to sign Beckham during the season.
The two-time All-Pro receiver is 30 years old and is entering his ninth season in the NFL after being drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. In his first three seasons, he caught at least 90 passes for no less than 1,300 yards receiving, compiling 35 touchdowns in that span.
Despite his early success, Beckham has struggled to produce in recent years — often due to injury. His last season of at least 1,000 yards receiving was back in 2019, Beckham's first year with the Cleveland Browns after the Giants had traded him.
