Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Average height with limited weight. Very skinny torso with thin, ripped arms of deficient length. Adequate hand size. Average legs. Missed three games with left knee injury in 2019. Suffered an undisclosed lower-half injury in final game of 2020 that required surgery, missing 2021 spring practices and played through as the season opened.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Above the line toughness, not afraid of contact and will attack defender's leverage as a runner. The most trusted option on the team, consistently targeted in big situations with above the line production… Average instincts, failing to consistently sit in Zone holes and incorrectly choosing some releases. Poor effort, consistently jogging through routes where he doesn't expect to get the ball.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Quick off the LOS, showing ability to effectively deploy hesitation move to beat press. Uses COD to separate at top of route with sharp cuts and outstanding acceleration. Adequate timing to ID throwing windows and stay in sync with QB. Catches at extension with adequate play strength and little fear of defenders. Adequate ball tracking and outstanding body control to adjust and make catches throughout frame while getting feet down. Is a threat after the catch due to accel and quickness, rapidly turning upfield and attacking shoulder with adequate contact balance. PR/KR experience. …. Hunched stance against Off that can slow release. Lacks play strength or suddenness to cut across DB with leverage. Gets caught by bigger defenders. Doesn't display sufficient foot speed to consistently threaten deep or hold advantage on crossing routes. Easily squeezed to sideline on Go/Fade and doesn't show combo of height, explosiveness, and foot speed to beat DBs deep at the next level. Defenders can knock out ball during catch due to limited hand strength and displays average reaction speed. Little interest in blocking. Won't be a preferred PR/KR option at next level due to lacking straight-line speed.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Senior who has started 25 of 43 career games, including all 12 in 2021. Four-star HS recruit who has consistently been used as an offensive weapon. Named 2019 All-Mountain West Honorable Mention as well as 2020 and 2021 All-Mountain West First Team. Under OC/QBs Coach Tim Plough (first season) and WRs Coach Matt Miller (second season), player is primarily a slot WR and is the top option in a varied offense. Given a significant number of rush attempts from Jet motion and even in the backfield for some gameplans. 4th WR you can win with on short to intermediate routes. YAC receiver who uses COD and accel to separate and body control to make difficult catches. Huge effort issue, jogging when he doesn't expect to be involved. Worrying frame with some injury history.
