Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Slightly undersized in terms of height but still has adequate arm length for the position. Evenly distributed weight, noticeable size on the arms. Played 842/860 total offensive snaps on the season and started all 12 games.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Instinctual blocker who understands angles required to seal blocks at the first and second levels. Identifies stunts without issue. Plays through defenders and uses his body as a wall - adequate toughness for the next level. Doesn't always look for work, especially in pass pro, often keeping his feet set and scanning side to side for oncoming rushers.

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

Average explosiveness out of stance, and vertical speed out in space, but adequate lateral speed to cover ground across the OL. Has fluid hips and adequate bend on display to be able to change direction quickly and still win the leverage battle on any given down. Play strength is adequate, and often doesn't concede any ground against DL much bigger and heavier than him. Maintains a solid base, shoulders over feet and doesn't get caught overreaching and thus overbalancing a lot.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Pass Block - Active, choppy feet, allowing him to change direction quickly when required. Force behind strike and generally well directed, allowing him to fit up well and get his strong upper body behind the DL. Average anchor, doesn't tend to concede much/any ground because of how well he positions himself square with the DL. Run block - asked to pull and get into space often and does well sealing the frontside of blocks and especially when pulling, understands how to use inside shoulder to kick out blocker and not let defender stay flat to the LOS and blow up Counter/Power runs. Adequate at the second level, only coming off combo blocks when the initial DL rep is won, and controls the DL into a favorable position to climb to second level, then taking a really good angle to cut off the LB pursuit angle.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Parham, a RS Senior started all 51 games in which he played at Memphis with great versatility after playing 2 seasons at LG, 1 at RT and the most recent 2021 season at RG. Went to Memphis as a TE and converted to an OL during 2018 Spring drills. Earned First-Team All AAC award in 2021 and AAC All-Academic Team (2017-19). Building blocks are there for a developmental IOL pick, nice compactness with strike and footwork, good work in space and shows good instincts. Simply doesn't make a lot of errors. Needs to add weight to his frame to compete as a starter at the next level. Day 3 Pick.
