The Carolina Panthers traded wide receiver Robbie Anderson on Monday to the Arizona Cardinals, who learned on the same day that WR Marquise Brown could miss the remainder of the regular season with a foot injury.

The move comes less than 24 hours after Anderson was dismissed from the Panthers' Week 6 loss to the Rams by interim coach Steve Wilks following a dramatic sideline outburst.

When asked about the incident following the game, Anderson told reporters, "I'm here to do all I can to help us win, it's third down, I'm being taken out the game, you know, I don't think I should be OK with that. So, I made a comment, 'It's the money down, why am I being taken out?' And that's that."

Anderson was reportedly being shopped before the incident, though his disagreement with the coaching staff was likely the final catalyst for the move. Anderson has never failed to record fewer than 40 receptions and 500 yards receiving in six seasons. The Cardinals will be hoping he finds a role as a reliable deep threat for Kyler Murray and the Arizona offense.

Anderson's arrival could be even more crucial given the news that Brown's season could be finished. Brown's absence would leave a clear hole in the Cardinals' skill position ranks.

Following their Week 6 loss to the Seahawks, in which the offense mustered only 9 points, the Cardinals are hungry for solutions to their scoring woes. However, the team will finally get star receiver Deandre Hopkins back from suspension in Week 7 when they take on the New Orleans Saints Thursday night. It is unknow whether Anderson will be ready to play in that game.

Recent reports indicate that Hopkins also needs more time to acclimate to the team's offense and game plan. Thus both receivers could possibly sit out against the Saints.
