Underdog Fantasy and DraftKings are the two primary gaming platforms in the best ball market. Even if you’re not a high-volume best ball drafter, it’s in your best interest to know which players are more of a value on which platform.

To frame that another way, if we’re going to line shop in sports betting, we should be ADP shopping in best ball. Let’s explore 10 of those value options on the DraftKings platform.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seattle Seahawks

Underdog ADP 60.4 vs. DraftKings ADP 79.4

The man who inspired this piece, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is going an astounding 19 picks later on DraftKings. Underdog is more of a wide receiver–happy platform in general, but Smith-Njigba’s skill set is more PPR-friendly, making him a major target on DraftKings at current costs.

Ryan has around eight percent exposure to Smith-Njigba on Underdog, keeping him roughly even with the field. On DraftKings, Ryan targets Smith-Njigba in virtually every draft and currently has roughly 40 percent exposure to Smith-Njigba. Right now, Ryan targets the former Ohio State receiver in every DraftKings draft at current costs.

Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions

Underdog ADP 98.5 vs. DraftKings ADP 114.8

Jameson Williams will miss the first six games due to suspension, which is why he has dropped from a fourth- to fifth-round pick into more of a mid-round selection. Williams was selected 12th overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2022 draft, despite a knee injury that would cost him most of his rookie season. That makes Williams a bit of an unknown entering his second season. Still, he is an elite talent whose skill set is a perfect complement to Amon-Ra St. Brown’s.

Williams is more of a burner than a high-volume pass catcher who will significantly benefit from full-PPR formats. That said, he is much easier to fit on DraftKings where he is consistently selected a full round later than he is on Underdog.

Elijah Moore, WR, Cleveland Browns

If Deshaun Watson returns to form this season, Elijah Moore is in a fascinating position. We already saw big-time spike week potential in Moore’s rookie season. He took a major step back last year, but the New York Jets also had major volatility at quarterback in 2022.

The Cleveland Browns traded a second-round pick for Moore, which shows how valuable they think he can be. Moore is draftable on Underdog at his current ADP, but that 14-pick disparity on DraftKings is appealing for a talented, young receiver such as Moore.

Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Underdog ADP 103 vs. DraftKings ADP 112

Zach Charbonnet is a classic premium handcuff with some considerable standalone value. By midseason, Charbonnet could be in a roughly even timeshare with Kenneth Walker. If Walker misses time, Charbonnet could see a full role and become a league winner, just like Walker was last season. Charbonnet is more of a natural pass catcher than Walker, so getting Charbonnet cheaper on a full PPR platform like DraftKings is a bonus.

Kendre Miller, RB, New Orleans Saints

Underdog ADP 134.2 vs. DraftKings ADP 146.8

If Alvin Kamara misses time due to suspension, Kendre Miller could see immediate role expansion behind a premium offensive line. The New Orleans Saints have one of the easier schedules in the league, which makes every New Orleans offensive player more appealing.

Ryan has roughly 10 percent exposure to Miller on Underdog, while that number is closer to 25 percent on DraftKings. You can make Miller your fifth running back pretty consistently on DraftKings at his current cost.

Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Underdog ADP 132.4 vs. DraftKings ADP 147.5

Michael Gallup has been a steady riser on Underdog, which makes him much easier to fit on DraftKings at current costs. He’s especially appealing when you select Dak Prescott or when you’ve taken a Lions player and want a Dallas Cowboys bring back for their Week 17 matchup.

Roschon Johnson, RB, Chicago Bears

Underdog ADP 143.6 vs. DraftKings ADP 161

Roschon Johnson is in a crowded Chicago Bears running back room, which means he could start the year with a limited role. That said, both Khalil Herbert and D’Onta Foreman are grinder backs with limited pass-catching usage. If Johnson’s role increases organically, that probably starts in the passing game.

Johnson’s ADP on Underdog is starting to get a little high, even though he represents a tier break at the running back position. He’s appealing on DraftKings in zero or hero running back builds, where you’re essentially looking for breakthrough candidates with a path to taking on a major role.

Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Underdog ADP 143.8 vs. DraftKings ADP 171.4

Alec Pierce’s ADP has gotten a little out of control on Underdog, turning him from one of Ryan’s targets to a borderline fade at current costs. Pierce is more of a spike week candidate than a consistent volume monster, making him a better half-PPR asset than a full-PPR player. That said, the enormous 28-pick price disparity makes him an appealing option on DraftKings at current costs.

Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers

Underdog ADP 158.1 vs. DraftKings ADP 178.1

Romeo Doubs is trying to become Jordan Love’s favorite person in the world by claiming there is no real difference between Love and Aaron Rodgers. Doubs is also a second-year player who had his moments as a rookie, which could lead to him starting the year with a bigger role than Jayden Reed. That said, Reed has second-round draft capital, and you can get him at a 20-pick value on DraftKings.

Ryan generally only targets Reed on Underdog to complete stacks with Love or as a Week 17 bring-back with a Vikings player. On DraftKings, Ryan is more likely to take Reed as an uncorrelated upside play due to his reduced cost on the platform.

Tyquan Thornton, WR, New England Patriots

Underdog ADP 171.5 vs. DraftKings ADP 186.4

Tyquan Thornton is a second-year field stretcher on a New England Patriots offense that doesn’t have a locked-in primary option. Thornton was one of Ryan’s early targets on Underdog, but Thornton has slowly gotten more expensive on the platform. Like every other player on this list, Thornton is much easier to fit on DraftKings.
