Panthers' QB Baker Mayfield Out Two to Six Weeks
Baker Mayfield suffered a high ankle sprain late in the Panthers loss to the 49ers on Sunday and could miss two to six weeks. While Mayfield returned to play for a few drives, P.J. Walker filled in on the last couple of drives of that game. While Mayfield's injury will not place him on injured reserve, the expectation is that he'll be out anywhere from two to six weeks. P.J. Walker is expected to be the Panthers starting quarterback against the Rams this weekend.
Seahawks Bring Back First-Round Pick to Practice Squad
The Seahawks brought back former first-round linebacker Bruce Irvin to their practice squad in an effort to shore up their defensive depth.
Broncos Designate S Simmons, TE Dulcich, CB Ojemudia To Return from IR
The Broncos, floundering a bit after their Thursday Night debacle, have some much-needed reinforcements returning to the team. Justin Simmons has missed the last four games after an injury in Week 1, while Dulcich and Ojemudia will make their season debuts when they return.
Patriots' RB Damien Harris Expected to Miss Time
Damien Harris is likely to miss multiple games because of the hamstring injury he suffered in the Patriots win over the Detroit Lions, per Tom Pelissero. Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to remain the bellcow back in New England.
Raiders' WR Davante Adams Facing Discipline
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams faces a potential suspension for pushing a cameraman to the ground following the Raiders' 30-29 loss to Kansas City on Monday night, NFL Media reported.
Adams apologized for the encounter on Twitter saying: "Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously, very frustrated at the way the game ended, and when he ran in front of me as I exited that was my reaction, and I felt horrible immediately. That's not me...MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this."
The cameraman Adams pushed has filed a police report. In a statement, the Kansas City Police Department wrote the cameraman's injuries are thought to be preliminary non-life-threatening.
