Maxx Forde

Maxx Forde is a former CFL and FBS defensive lineman, playing for the BC Lions 2015-2018 after a standout career at the University of Idaho 2010-2014 where he was a two-year team captain and three-time Coaches Award winner.

Maxx was raised in football so to speak as his father, Brian, played in the NFL 1988-1992 and spent time in the CFL and NFL Europe 1994-1996. His education in the game continued in high school under position coach and Super Bowl XIX Champion Manu Tuiasosopo. Taking this foundation into the more competitive environments of NCAA and professional football, Maxx was able to become a true student of the game as the coaching carousel gave him the opportunity to learn from coaches with different philosophies.

Off the field, Maxx was academic All-Conference each year he was eligible, seeing a high degree of success in the classroom as a business major. However, it was an Econometrics course for his eventual statistics minor that would kick off his interest in analytics as an off the field pursuit, finishing the class by creating a regression model on NFL QB salaries for his final project. This interest would eventually lead him to earning his M.S. in Business Analytics at Arizona State University just after he finished playing.

He currently lives in Arizona with his wife and son.
