Top 5 Standouts From Day 2 of the Senior Bowl

With day two in the books, here are five players who our team of scouts felt stood out from the pack. To find out top 5 Senior Bowl standouts from Day 1, click here.

5. Sam Williams - EDGE, Ole Miss

Sam Williams was a late addition to the Senior Bowl roster and he immediately made his presence felt. In the second practice today, Williams was clearly one of the best players on the field. He was most impressive during 1-on-1s. He was nearly un-blockable during this period and had a very strong rest of practice. This looks like a very good late addition by Jim Nagy and Co. after Williams had an excellent week at the NFLPA event.

4. Perrion Winfrey - iDL, Oklahoma

Perrion Winfrey has been one of the best players over the past two days. He easily could have made yesterday’s list, and he built on a strong first day today. Winfrey was very disruptive during the team periods and he was just as impressive in 1-on-1s. He is making a case as the best interior defensive lineman on the roster, and has been one of the best performers so far.

3. Trey McBride - TE, Colorado State

Today’s practices featured a lot of sloppy offense due to the tough conditions and adequate quarterback play. Despite the rainy, cold elements, McBride flashed high-end ability multiple times. McBride is regarded as one of the best tight ends in the whole draft, and he proved that again today. His most impressive play of the day came in a team period against Baylor safety prospect Jalen Pitre, when impressively made a contested 20-plus yard catch despite Pitre being in near-perfect coverage position. This catch flashed his star ability, and he is definitely someone to keep an eye on the rest of the week.

2. Boye Mafe - EDGE, Minnesota

Boye Mafe is one player who should be on everyone’s radar. He is an underrated player who has a chance to shoot up draft boards after this week. He is one of the best athletes on the whole roster and he has untapped potential. He flashed multiple times in today’s practice, and he was impressive all day including in 1-on-1s. His most notable wins came against his Minnesota teammate, Daniel Faalele, Central Michigan standout, Bernhard Raimann, and highly regarded OG, Zion Johnson.

1. Kingsley Enagbare - EDGE, South Carolina

Today marks the second day in a row where a player from the second practice has stood out the most. Kingsley Enagbare set the tone for practice by driving Daniel Bellinger about 10 yards back and putting him on his back in a 1-on-1 rep. Enagbare was nearly u-blockable all day and was consistently winning throughout the day. He had a solid practice on day 1, and he followed it up with a very strong performance today. This edge class has been very impressive early on, and Enagbare has made his mark on the group.
