Week 7: NFL Top-10 Running Backs Right Now

The 33rd Team's weekly top-10 RB rankings are a snapshot of where the league's best running backs are right now, taking into account the player's recent production, health, and an evaluation by our scouting department, led by former NFL team executive T.J. McCreight and assisted by scouts Justin Casey, Kevin Cohn and Evan Pritt.

Other Week 7 rankings: QB | WR

1. Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns

Carries: 110 | Yards: 649 | TD: 7 | Explosive Plays: 7 | Previous Rank: 1

Comment: Chubb still tops the NFL in rushing but did not quite have the numbers he was expecting against the Patriots. However, he still averaged 4.7 yards per carry.

2. Saquon Barkley, New York Giants

Carries: 119 | Yards: 616 | TD: 4 | Explosive Plays: 5 | Previous Rank: 2

Comment: Creeping closer to Chubb but not quite taking over that spot quite yet.  Has the Giants rolling and a healthy Barkley is tough to handle.

3. Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders

Carries: 91 | Yards: 490 | TD: 3 | Explosive Plays: 3 | Previous Rank: 3

Comment: Jacobs had a BYE week.

4. Christian McCaffery, Carolina Panthers

Carries: 85 | Yards: 393 | TD: 2 | Explosive Plays: 1 | Previous Rank: 9

Comment: He's the lone offensive bright spot for the Panthers. He is fourth in the NFL in scrimmage yards per game.

5. Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles

Carries: 105 | Yards: 485 | TD: 4 | Explosive Plays: 3 | Previous Rank: 5

Comment: Sanders has kept the Eagles flying. He had a solid 71 yards and a TD vs the Cowboys

6. Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans

Carries: 104 | Yards: 408 | TD: 5 | Explosive Plays: 1 | Previous Rank: 4

Comment: Henry had a BYE week.

7. Breece Hall, New York Jets

Carries: 76 | Yards: 391 | TD: 3 | Explosive Plays: 2 | Previous Rank: 10

Comment: Hall jumps up three spots from 10th in our rankings after running for 116 yards and a TD for the new-look Jets.

8. Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints

Carries: 66 | Yards: 302 | TD: 0 | Explosive Plays: 2 | Previous Rank: NR

Comment: He enters the top 10 for the first time this season. Kamara looks healthy and has averaged more than 100 yards per game in the last two weeks.

9. Dameon Pierce, Houston Texans

Carries: 86 | Yards: 412 | TD: 3 | Explosive Plays: 3 | Previous Rank: 7

Comment: Pierce had a BYE week.
