Alabama, LSU, Kentucky Dominate Senior Bowl Watchlist

The Senior Bowl announced it's initial watchlist on Wednesday, and, if nothing else, it showed that perhaps Kentucky has turned the corner from being known as a basketball school to a football factory for the NFL

Led by QB Will Levis, the Wildcats had 10 players on this year's list. Only Alabama (12) and LSU (11) had more. North Carolina State, led by QB Devin Leary, also placed 10 players on the watchlist.

There are other interesting names, including LB Nolan Smith of Georgia, DE Zach Harrison of Ohio State and Alabama LB Henry To'oTo'o on defense, and WR Ronnie Bell of Purdue, UCLA RB  Zach Charbonnet, Georgia RB Kenny McIntosh on offense.

The Senior Bowl is a vital part of the NFL's offseason and its draft process for the last 72 years. This year, it has ties to The 33rd Team. T.J. McCreight, a former player personnel executive with the Philadelphia Eagles, is a part of the Senior Bowl scouting staff. He will be tasked with scouting players from around the nation, at every level of college football.

Under current director Jim Nagy and his scouting staff, the Senior Bowl has built a strong reputation for identifying talent. Since 2019, 22 Senior Bowl players have been drafted in the first round.
