Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Adequate height and above the line weight. Limited arm length and average hand size. Thick arms with above the line definition. Above the line frame, solid thick build across the chest and torso. Above the line size and muscular build in legs and overall lower body.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Adequate instincts, nice feel for defensive fronts and has a nose for finding small crevasses at the LOS to ensure positive gain. Adequate motor/effort, shows the will to keep his legs churning on every down. Adequate toughness, stays in bounds wherever possible, very comfortable to end a run with a hit on the defender.

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

Limited overall athletic ability with limited explosiveness and speed. Poor COD, is a power back and struggles to change course with much suddenness, will rarely try and decelerate to make defenders miss instead relying on his size/ power to keep the run rolling forward. Adequate body control, for his size stays very well balanced as he bounces through contact. Adequate play strength, gains strength as his momentum builds, seems empowered as the run progresses and his aggressiveness builds. However, play strength falls to average behind the LOS, lacks the ability to shed/ truck tacklers without that required momentum.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Adequate ball security, 3 fumbles in 2021, only 1 in the prior 2 seasons. Average path discipline and Poor Outside Run ability, limited explosiveness and speed will drive most stretch/OZ runs from shotgun inside. In a more pro-style attack with longer for blockers to set-up and hold the edge would likely build his discipline/success. Above the line inside run performance, adequate instincts/ analysis of fronts to find a hole, particularly evident in goal-line scenarios, has compact running style that focuses on protecting the ball and he stays remarkably clean through interior gaps for someone of his frame/size. Limited burst, will inhibit his ability to eat up yards once he’s through the hole. Adequate finisher in the open field, as he generates momentum becomes a challenge for defenders to bring down, above the line size and adequate open field trucking ability will be a consistent threat for NFL secondary defenders. Poor MYM ability, does not have much in the way of agility moves and with only limited speed, his only ability to create yards in the open field is through his power. Limited receiving ability, inconsistent hands, has to double-catch some simple passes around the LOS and lets the ball get into his frame too often. Limited route running ability, should be a factor on swings given his ability to catch and generate momentum after the catch, but with Poor COD will not be a significant contributor on angle/option routes. Average Pass Pro, average processing, limited capability to pick-up with an adequate anchor once engaged.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Snoop Conner is a Junior from Ole Miss who has featured in 35 career games. Three-star RB prospect, No. 991 nationally in 2019, according to 247 Sports. Rotational, power and goal-line back throughout his three years at Ole Miss. Immediate contributor in 2019 with 512 yards at 6.3 YPC and followed that with 8 TDs and another 400+ yards in 2020. Increased carries by 30+% in 2021 and continued to increase his production with 656 yards and a team-high 13 rush TDs. Snoop Conner projects as a low-end to average Power/Goal-line back in the NFL. Would best suit a Power scheme that heavily utilizes inside gap concepts like dive and lead.
