Build

Does he have prototype size? What is body type? What is growth potential?

Kenneth Walker III has decent size, which holds most of weight in lower body, solid compact upper body as well. Wouldn't expect him to get much bulkier without losing speed/flexibility. Length is above average. Missed 4 games in second year at Wake.

Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Not as big but plays with a physicality that most his size doesn’t have. Weather inside or outside run looks to run through contact. Constantly looking for cutback lanes, played in a heavy zone scheme. Legs are working on contact and driving to fall forward.

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

Has a downhill style that displays that is paired with good vision. Is able to crease defenses to the second level with one cut and a sudden change of pace. Cuts are very quick off and quick back to the ground maintaining a base and good pad level. Carries pads to finish runs as well as shows the ability to break away from defenders and separate on longer runs.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Kenneth Walker III has minimal targets in pass game, Snatches at the ball at times, but is serviceable. Does display solid ability to create in open space. Plays with a good pad level due to his size naturally is able to finish most runs showing good strength overall. Footwork is good, at times can get a touch long in some steps trying to get himself going. Not the shiftiest of guys but has some shiftiness from behind the LOS. Pass pro is not the most willing to take the contact head on, feet go dead just before contact, often lunging with head down on contact, no use of hands. 2 Fumbles all career.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Kenneth Walker III transferred from Wake Forest after his second year. At Wake was ranked 3rd as a freshman w/ 579 YDS on 98 CAR and 4TD's. As a sophomore tied for 3rd in the ACC w/ 579YDS and 13TDs. Is a good tough nosed runner often times will find the open seam within the box of a defense, can also bounce, and has the speed to gain the edge. Is not going to wow you with MYM ability. Catches the ball well using his hands extended away from his body in pass game leaked out of BF. Mid-2nd - 4th round, possible change of pace back early on. Potential to be an every down back.
