Technical

Ekwonu is an outstanding run blocker with the the mobility and explosiveness to be effective on the line and in the second level. He plays with an aggressive temperament when finishing plays. He isn't afraid to finish defenders into the ground and tear open holes. He can miss some strikes when pulling due to going to not breaking down when engaging the 2nd level. Ekwondu's pass blocking ability is above the line due to his quick feet that allow him to mirror the speed of pass rushers and reroute for counter moves. His hand placement needs improvement with his hand path and placement being inconsistent. He starts low and wide sometimes which prevents him from striking the chest.
