Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Adequate route running and release. Uses his explosiveness well to get started and then uses size and leverage well in routes. Ball skills are average, as he needs to work on limiting concentration drops, but shows some contested catch ability. Ball carrier ability is above the line as he make full use of his athleticism and shows an ability to make men miss. Blocking and strike are average, as his stiffness holds him back and he needs to work on positioning and angles. Play temperament is limited as he gets driven backward much more often than he drives a defender backward. Reliability is average as he needs to work on avoiding drops.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Started 17 out of 33 games over 4 years as a Redshirt Junior. 2021 Mackey Semifinalist and All-Pac 12 1st Team. Versatile Y capable of playing inline or in the slot. Productive receiver with athleticism and YAC skills. Average blocking limits his utility right away. Immediate developmental backup or third-string with legit starter potential. Has much to improve, but a high ceiling.
