Mental

Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?

Athleticism

Does he have the athletic traits you want?

Explosiveness and speed are both average, definitely not a strength. Body control and flexibility are adequate. Change of direction is above the line, as he combines good cutting ability with size and leverage well in routes. Sells double moves well. Play strength is average as he catches through contact decently well but struggles to block with power.

Technical

Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?

Route running is above the line with an advanced route tree and impressive COD. Release is adequate, as his lack of explosiveness holds him back, but he gets by. Ball skills are adequate. Possession receiver with strong hands and solid catch radius. Ball carrier ability is adequate, as he won't run away from or avoid tacklers. Limited blocker with average strike. Technique needs refinement and struggles to maintain blocks. Hands need work. Only shows limited violence. Adequate reliability.

Summary

What role does he play? What is his initial projection?
Played in 31 games over 4 years with 2 different programs. Retired in November of 2019 because of concussion problems before returning in August of 2020 and transferring from Oklahoma to SMU. 2021 All-AAC Second Team. F who plays mostly in the slot, though he did play inline significantly more at SMU than ever at Oklahoma. Impressive route runner and solid receiving weapon, but not a blocker. Backup with the ability to immediately contribute on passing downs in schemes that allow their TE to play out of the slot.
