Detroit Lions:

Per Ian Rapoport, the Lions are expected to part ways with offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn following their Week 18 game against the Packers. Dan Campbell has officially stated that Anthony Lynn is out as OC of the Lions per Pride of Detroit.

Houston Texans:

Per Ian Rapoport, the Texans are expected to evaluate head coach David Culley’s future with the team following Houston’s Week 18 game against the Titans. Furthermore, per Jay Glazer, it is expected that the Texans part ways with Culley after Week 18.

Per Tom Pelissero, the Texans have fired head coach David Culley. He went 4-13 in his one season with the team.

Per Adam Schefter, the Texans have also fired OC Tim Kelly.

Per Adam Schefter, the leading candidate to replace former HC David Culley is Patriots linebackers coach Jerod Mayo.

Minnesota Vikings:

According to Ian Rapoport, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer could be coaching his final game in Minnesota. He has been with the team since 2014.

Per Tom Pelissero, the Vikings have fired head coach Mike Zimmer. In addition, Minnesota has also fired GM Rick Spielman. He had been with the team since 2006.

Per Jon Krawczynski, Mark Wilf said the Vikings will focus on finding a new GM who will help in the search for a new head coach.

Per Jason La Canfora, the Minnesota Vikings are expected to interview former Eagles HC Doug Pederson for their vacant head coach position.

Seattle Seahawks:

A report from Fish Sports indicates that Dan Quinn will be a potential head coach candidate if the Seahawks decide to part ways with head coach Pete Carroll. This has been the only report about the Seahawks potentially parting ways with Carroll.

Per Bob Condotta, the Seahawks are planning to move on from DC Ken Norton Jr. Per Seahawks PR, Seattle has relieved Norton Jr. and defensive passing game coordinator Andre Curtis of their duties.

Per Jeremy Fowler, the Seahawks have requested permission to interview Denver Broncos DC Ed Donatell for their defensive coordinator job.

Per Tom Pelissero, the Seahawks have requested to interview Cowboys defensive passing game coordinator/secondary coach for their defensive coordinator position.

Carolina Panthers:

Per Jeremy Fowler, the Carolina Panthers plan on keeping head coach Matt Rhule in 2022. He will start the search for a new offensive coordinator this upcoming week.

Per Adam Schefter, Carolina is expected to target former head coach Jay Gruden, Alabama OC Bill O’Brien, and Rams’ OC Kevin O’Connell in their search for a new offensive coordinator.

Per Ian Rapoport, the Panthers are asking the Houston Texans for permission to interview Pep Hamilton for their OC opening.

Per Ian Rapoport, the Panthers have fired OL coach Pat Meyer, ST coach Chase Blackburn, and DL coach Frank Okam.

Per Jason La Canfora, the Broncos will have Dan Quinn near the top of their coaching list if Vic Fangio is let go.

Per Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Broncos and Vic Fangio have parted ways.

According to ESPN, the Broncos have parted ways with OC Pat Shurmur.

Per Adam Schefter, the Broncos have requested permission from the New England Patriots to interview LB coach Jerod Mayo for their HC opening. Per Ian Rapoport, Mayo will interview for this job in the middle of the week of 1/17. Per Adam Schefter, the Broncos will interview Mayo on Wednesday, 1/19.

Per Michael Gehlken, a Broncos contingent will be flying to Dallas on Tuesday, 1/18, to interview both Cowboys DC Dan Quinn and Cowboys OC Kellen Moore for their open head coach position.

Chicago Bears:

While not official, Ian Rapoport reports that the Bears will likely move on from current head coach Matt Nagy at the conclusion of the regular season. According to Boomer Esiason, Nagy has been told that he will not return as the head coach of the Bears after Week 18.

Per Adam Schefter, the Bears have officially parted ways with HC Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace.

Per Dan Graziano, the Bears have requested permission to interview Buffalo Bills DC Leslie Frazier for their head coach opening. Per Adam Schefter, Frazier will interview for this job on Sunday, 1/16.

The Bears are expected to interview former Eagles HC Doug Pederson for their open head coach job on Wednesday, 1/12, per Ian Rapoport.

Per Adam Schefter, the Bears have concluded interviews with head coach candidates Jim Caldwell and Nathaniel Hackett on 1/15.

Per Nick Underhill, the Bears will interview Saints DC Dennis Allen for their open HC job the week of 1/23.

Jacksonville Jaguars:

Interim Head Coach: Darrell Bevell

Per Tom Pelissero, Cowboys OC Kellen Moore is expected to interview virtually for the Jaguars’ head coach job late next week. He also reports that Todd Bowles will do an early virtual interview.

Dan Quinn will not interview with Jacksonville for their head coach opening during the current two-week window of allowable head coach interviews, per Adam Schefter. Also, per Tom Pelissero, Quinn wants to get through the regular season before doing any interviews. The Jaguars will have to wait until the Cowboys season is over to meet with Quinn.


Doug Pederson will be the Jacksonville Jaguars first interviewee of their process. His interview will commence on Thursday Dec. 30, per Ian Rappoport.


The Jaguars will interview Jim Caldwell for their Head Coach vacancy, per Jeremy Fowler. According to James Johnson of Jags Wire, Caldwell interview with the Jaguars on Tuesday, 1/4.


Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC Byron Leftwich will interview for the Jaguars head coach opening on Friday, 1/7, per Jeremy Fowler. Previously, Leftwich had said he wanted to focus on the Bucs’ regular season games instead of interviewing for the Jaguars

Per John Reid, the Jaguars will interview Alabama OC Bill O’Brien after next week’s National Championship game.

Per Tom Pelissero, the Jaguars will interview Cowboys OC Kellen Moore on Friday night, 1/7.

Green Bay Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett will interview with the Jaguars later this week per Ian Rapoport. It will most likely be on Friday, 1/14.

Las Vegas Raiders:

The Las Vegas Raiders have not yet formally requested permission to interview any head coaching candidates with other NFL teams.

To this point, there has been no reporting on potential interviewees for the Raiders head coach opening.

While not official, Ian Rapoport reports that the Raiders have expressed interest in interviewing University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. He last coached in the NFL in 2014 and will at least listen to the Raiders’ offer.

Per Adam Schefter, Raiders’ owner Mark Davis has made it abundantly clear that he will not be addressing the head coach situation until after the Raiders’ season ends.

Per Adam Schefter, it appears that the Raiders will be moving on from GM Mike Mayock and potentially interim HC Rich Bisaccia.

Per Adam Schefter, the Raiders have requested to interview Patriots ILB coach Jerod Mayo for their head coach position.

Per Mike Garofolo, the Raiders are expected to have interested in Buccaneers DC Todd Bowles for their open head coach position.
