Private Workouts Offer Better Insight Than Pro Days

When he was a coach, Marty Mornhinweg says he enjoyed attending pro days for the opportunity to see a player perform on the field, and to interact with them one-on-one the day before or after the workout. But compared to those pro days, private workouts were a much more preferable way to see a prospect, both for the chance to run the workout yourself and test players in specific ways, and for more alone time to talk with a prospect and find who they are as a person.
