Needs to add more weight to his frame as he is underweight including adding muscle to upper body/shoulders
Mental - Is he instinctual? Does he play with urgency?
Trustworthy vision and strong decision-making in his approach to the LOS. A bit fast with his running lane choice but reliable. Will consistently fight for extra yards, but due to smaller size, bounces more than carries defenders
Athleticism - Does he have the athletic traits you want?
Quick feet with shifty jump cuts and ability to keep a low pad level to bounce off tackles. Explosion up field while and sees the field like a QB, dissecting the defense while he continues up field. No wasted movements when pushes up the field but has minimum straight-line speed. Wins foot races solely based off intelligence
Technical - Does he have a refined skill set? Is he a projection or is his game developed enough to contribute early?
Runs low to the ground with a strong ability to get small between tackles. He has decisive cuts through the middle of the LOS with quick burst to get to space. Very light on his feet in space, while running but lacks many skills moves to remain elusive. Balance remains centered with ability to absorb contact, remain in his path and continue up field. Best receiving ability out of the top RBs watched, can split out wide and run clean/hard routes with natural catching ability and adjustment to the ball

Gainwell is a versatile undersized RB with strong ability in between the tackles by keeping small between blocks or finding space on outside rushes. He is able to plant and accelerate at a top tier level and will bounce off tackles but not drag them in open space. He shows ability to remain light on his feet and shifty in open space to make tacklers hesitant. He possesses average straight line speed but can get to the sideline and win by cutting off angles. Gainwell could add mass to his upper body/shoulders. He is a top of the line receiver out of the backfield with the ability to see the open field and dissect like a QB. He can line up from the slot or out wide and run clean/sharp routes
