2023 NFL Draft: Nolan Smith Should Move to Inside Linebacker

Georgia pass rusher Nolan Smith (scouting report) was one of the biggest winners of the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.39 40-yard dash and posting a 41.5-inch vertical and 10-foot, 8-inch broad jump. It solidified his status as one of the best overall athletes in the 2023 NFL Draft. He is smaller than most edge rushers at 6-foot-2, 238 pounds, but Mike Zimmer and Marvin Lewis make a case that Smith’s true home as a linebacker may be on the inside, and he could be a force lining up over the middle and running the occasional blitz.
