Titans Bench Willis for TNF

The Titans are benching quarterback Malik Willis in favor of Josh Dobbs for their game against the Cowboys on Thursday night, NFL Media reported. The game is meaningless in the Titans' quest to win the AFC South, but Willis has struggled in all three of his starts this season.

The last time Dobbs played in a regular-season game was in 2020 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tennessee signed Dobbs off the Lions' practice squad after Ryan Tannehill suffered his season-ending ankle injury.

Hurts Returns to Practice

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts returned to practice on Wednesday and was seen throwing passes for the first time since he suffered a shoulder injury in Week 15.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was non-committal on Hurts' status in his Wednesday press conference but left the door open for him to return against the Saints this week. With a win, the Eagles would clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

Chargers Could Get Bosa Back Soon

The Chargers activated edge rusher Joey Bosa from injured reserve Thursday, starting his 21-day practice window, the team announced. Bosa hasn't played since Week 3 after undergoing groin surgery.

The Chargers clinched a playoff spot Monday night with their victory against the Colts in Week 16. Bosa, who had 11 sacks during the 2021 season, would provide a huge boost to their playoff hopes.

Pollard Inactive vs. Titans; Tannehill to IR

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard (thigh) will be inactive against the Titans on Thursday night, NFL Media reported.

Pollard joins opposing running back Derrick Henry on the injury report with the doubtful designation. Both teams are dealing with large injury reports with the Cowboys and Titans having a combined nine players who are already listed as out for the game.

Tennessee placed three starters - quarterback Ryan Tannehill, outside linebacker Bud Dupree and inside linebacker Zach Cunningham - on Injured Reserve, the team announced. Tannehill has played in 12 games this season, most recently in Week 15, when he sustained an ankle injury that required surgery. Dupree, who has missed five games, sustained a pectoral injury in the Week 16 loss to the Texans. Cunningham missed 10 games, returned for the loss to the Texans and injured an elbow.

McKinney's Practice Window Is Open

The Giants opened safety Xavier McKinney's 21-day practice window on Wednesday, coach Brian Daboll told reporters. McKinney hasn't played since he suffered a hand injury while on an ATV in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, during the Giants' bye week in early November.
