Titans Will Start Dobbs vs. Jaguars

The Titans are starting quarterback Josh Dobbs in their game against the Jaguars on Saturday, which will decide the winner of the AFC South, coach Mike Vrabel told reporters.

Dobb started the team's Thursday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys in place of rookie third-round pick Malik Willis and clearly did enough to earn the starting job moving forward. Dobbs completed 20-of-39 passes for 232 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Cowboys.

Brooks Suffered Torn ACL

Seahawks linebacker Jordyn Brooks suffered a torn ACL, coach Pete Carroll told ESPN. Brooks will miss the remainder of the season, facing a long road back to the playing field that could cost him time next season as well.

The Seahawks selected Brooks in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Hurts Could Return in Week 18

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has a good chance to return to the lineup for the team's final game against the Giants, NFL Media reported. Hurts suffered an SC joint sprain two weeks ago against the Bears, and the Eagles have gone 0-2 since his injury.

Philadelphia will have its third straight chance to lock up both the NFC East and NFC's No. 1 seed with a win against the Giants, who already clinched a playoff berth.

NFL Selects Saturday Slate

The NFL has decided to flex the Chiefs-Raiders and Titans-Jaguars matchups to Saturday, Jan. 7, NFL Media reported. The Chiefs and Raiders will start at 4:30 p.m. EST, and the Titans and Jaguars will occupy the primetime 8:15 p.m. EST slot.

The Chiefs could be looking at a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC depending on whether Buffalo wins against the Bengals in the final game of Week 17 on Monday night. The winner of the Jaguars and Titans game will win the NFC South and host a playoff game at home.

The league hasn't announced which game will be flexed to Sunday night on Jan. 8.

Dolphins QB Situation Uncertain

Dolphins quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a dislocated pinky on his throwing hand in the team's loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, NFL Media reported. Bridgewater was filling in for Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered a concussion in Week 16 against the Packers and isn't expected back yet.

If neither player can go, Skylar Thompson will start. Thompson is 0-1 as a starter this season but has appeared in six games thus far. Miami needs to beat the Jets and have the Patriots lose to the Bills in Week 18 to make the playoffs.

Ehlinger to Start Week 18

Colts quarterback Nick Foles is still sore from the ribs injury he suffered on Sunday vs. the Giants and won't play in Week 18, interim coach Jeff Saturday told reporters. Sam Ehlinger will start in Foles' place, who was injured by Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux.

After his sack, Thibodeaux proceeded to do a snow angel sack celebration while Foles was down on the ground and clearly in pain. Saturday called Thibodeaux's celebration "tasteless" and "trash."

Sneed Day-to-Day With Hip Injury

Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed is day-to-day with a minor hip injury, NFL Media reported. Sneed suffered a hip pointer on Sunday during the team's win over the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders Saturday evening in Week 18, though the significance of the game will be greatly impacted by the outcome of the Bills-Bengals matchup Monday night.
