Former Broncos running back Melvin Gordon signed with the Chiefs on Monday, NFL Media reported. Gordon was released by the Broncos last week after his fumbling issue cost Denver in a loss to the Raiders.

49ers Lose Mitchell Once Again

The San Francisco 49ers are without running back Elijah Mitchell yet again. Mitchell suffered a knee injury during the team's Week 12 win over New Orleans Sunday, reported by The Athletic. It will keep Mitchell out a minimum of six weeks, meaning the earliest he could return is the postseason.

The team's starter entering the season, Mitchell missed Weeks 2-8 with another knee injury, leading to the team trading for Christian McCaffrey during his absence. McCaffrey had led the backfield since Mitchell's return, though of note is that the latter led the 49ers in carries since he came back, with 34 to McCaffrey's 32.

Etienne Was Cleared to Return Sunday
