Tagovailoa Questionable for TNF

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (back, ankle) is questionable to play Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, coach Mike McDaniel told reporters on Tuesday. McDaniel said he hopes to make a decision before Thursday, but it could be a game-time decision. Backup Teddy Bridgewater would get the start if Tagovailoa can't go.

The Dolphins beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday to go to 3-0. Tagovailoa appeared to have suffered a head injury. Still, McDaniel said on Tuesday that his quarterback passed concussion protocols and was cleared by the team's medical staff to return to the field.

Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard will miss the entire regular season following a torn ACL suffered in the Giants 23-16 loss to the Cowboys on Monday Night Football, Giants coach Brian Daboll told reporters. The Giants were already without former first-round pick Kadarius Toney in their last contest. The loss of Shepard makes a thinning wide receiver group even thinner.

Could Golladay Be Traded?

Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay is available via trade and has been for some time, according to Albert Breer. Reports indicate the Giants were willing to eat a significant portion of Golladay's considerable remaining salary to get out from under the embattled receiver's long-term contract. Despite being named a Pro Bowler in 2019 with the Detroit Lions, Golladay has struggled in New York. In 15 starts over 2 seasons with the Giants, he's recorded only 1 game with more than 100 yards receiving and has yet to record his first touchdown.
