Chargers Bosa (Groin) Placed on IR

On Wednesday, Pro Bowl defensive lineman Joey Bosa (groin) was placed on injured reserve. Bosa will have surgery but is expected to return later this season. The Chargers are off to a rough start as they enter Sunday’s matchup against the Texans with a 1-2 record.

Colts Taylor (Toe) Did Not Practice

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (toe) did not practice Wednesday. This is a precautionary measure, according to sources, and Taylor is expected to play Sunday versus the Titans.

McCaffrey (Thigh) Did Not Practice

Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (thigh) did not practice today. Panthers coach Matt Rhule told reporters he was unaware of the injury until after Sunday’s game against the Saints.

Saints WRs Thomas and Landry Miss Practice

The Saints were without wide receivers Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) in practice on Wednesday, according to ESPN. The Saints take on the Vikings in a Week 4 contest in London on Sunday. Both receivers' availability remains in doubt.

Patriots Jones Progressing, Hoyer Likely to Start Week 4

Patriots quarterback Brian Hoyer will start this week if Mac Jones is unable to do so, according to sources. Although New England coach Bill Belichick is optimistic about Jones' progress over the last two days, the team has yet to name a starter for their upcoming matchup with the Packers in Week 4.

Jets Wilson Back for Week 4

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is expected to start in their Week 4 matchup versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN. Wilson was sidelined prior to the regular season with a knee injury he suffered in the team's first preseason matchup. The former BYU signal-caller was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and returns to a Jets squad that has gotten off to an up-and-down start, currently sitting at 1-2.

Prescott Progressing but Will Miss Practice

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will not practice Wednesday after having the stitches removed from his surgically repaired thumb, according to NFL Media. Prescott left the door open for a return to play this week, though that seems unlikely given his practice status. Still, the possibility remains that Prescott could return for the team's Week 5 contest against the Rams.

NFL Names Players of the Week for Week 3

The NFL announced the Players of the Week for Week 3 on Wednesday. In the AFC, Trevor Lawrence won offensive player of the week. The defense and special teams awards went to Trey Hendrickson of the Bengals and Broncos' punter Corliss Waitman, respectively. In the NFC, Atlanta running back Cordarrelle Patterson was named offensive player of the week. Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham won for defense and Packers punter Pat O'Donnell for special teams.

Dolphins Head to Cincinnati Early

The Dolphins left for Cincinnati on Wednesday to ensure impending Hurricane Ian does not delay the team, reports indicated. The Dolphins play in Cincinnati against the Bengals on Thursday Night Football in Week 4, looking to maintain their status as the AFC's only unbeaten team. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa remains questionable to appear in the contest.

Bills Sign Rhodes

The Bills signed veteran defensive back Xavier Rhodes, according to NFL Media. The Bills are dealing with multiple injuries in their secondary, including a season-ending injury to star defensive back Micah Hyde. Rhodes, a 2017 First-team All-Pro, spent the last two seasons in Indianapolis after a solid seven-year career as a Viking.
