Eagles' Hurts Has Chance to Play

Quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) is "trending in the right direction" to play Sunday against the Giants, NFL Media reported.

Hurts has missed the last two games for the Eagles with Gardner Minshew starting in his place. Despite losing both games he missed, Hurts and the Eagles have a chance to secure the number one seed in the NFC with a win on Sunday.

Clowney Sent Home by Browns

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was sent home by the Cleveland Browns on Friday after stating on Thursday he was "95%" sure he wouldn't be back in Cleveland for 2023, NFL Media reported.

Clowney is scheduled to be a free agent this offseason after re-signing with the team on a one-year deal this past May. Clowney has appeared in 12 games this year and has 12 tackles and two sacks on the year.

Zac Taylor Not Happy with NFL's Decision

Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor expressed his displeasure with the NFL's decision in regard to the AFC playoffs, NFL Media reported.

When speaking to the media on Friday, Taylor addressed the playoff scenarios by stating "what's in front of us is to win this weekend. From what I'm concerned, we just want the rules to be followed." The rule he is referring to is the NFL not going by winning percentages in terms of the playoffs and seeding adding "It's black and white, it's in the rule book."

Jets' White Out, Flacco Named Starter

Quarterback Mike White (ribs) has been ruled out against the Dolphins on Sunday and Joe Flacco has been named the starter, NFL Media reported.

Flacco started the first three games of the season for the Jets leading them to one victory. Zach Wilson will serve as his backup in the team's season finale after NFL Media reported on Sunday he remains a part of their plans in 2023.

Irv Smith Jr. Activated Off IR

Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (ankle) has been activated off injured reserve and will be active Sunday against the Bears, NFL Media reported.

Smith Jr. has been out since suffering an ankle injury in Week 8 against the Cardinals. His return allows for him to be used alongside T.J. Hockenson who the team traded for after his initial injury.

Jackson Misses Practice

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed practice again on Thursday, ESPN reported. Jackson is still recovering from a PCL injury in his knee that has cost him the last four games.

There is still a chance the Ravens can win the AFC North depending on what the NFL decides to do with the suspended Bills-Bengals game from Monday night.

Harbaugh Expected to Remain at Michigan

Jim Harbaugh, who it was rumored would be a top target of the NFL coaching cycle, committed to staying with Michigan in 2023, he wrote in a statement on Twitter.

"I am aware of the rumors and speculation over the past few days," Harbaugh wrote. "NFL and college teams have great interest in our personnel from players to coaches, to staff, and I truly believe that is a testament to the strength of our University of Michigan football program. As I stated in December, while nobody knows what the future holds, I expect that I will be enthusiastically coaching Michigan in 2023."

Harbaugh was rumored to be in play for both the Colts and Broncos head coaching jobs. Additionally, it was reported he spoke with Panthers owner David Tepper this week.
