Garoppolo Could Return for Playoffs

Jimmy Garoppolo does not need foot surgery and could return in time to be a contributor for the 49ers in the playoffs, according to ESPN. Doctors concluded the quarterback does not have a Lisfranc injury and, should rehab go well, he could return in 7-8 weeks.

The team initially feared that Garoppolo was lost for the season, putting rookie QB Brock Purdy in line to start for the remainder of the year. But should all go to plan, Purdy could be able to hand the reins over to Garoppolo in time for the championship push. The weekend of the NFC Championship game will mark approximately 8 weeks from Garoppolo's injury.

Cowboys Worried About OBJ's ACL

The Cowboys are worried free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.'s ACL hasn't healed enough for him to play this season, ESPN reported. Dallas believes there's a chance Beckham Jr. won't play until the 2023 season if they sign him now. Dallas has long been the favorite to sign OBJ this season.

Beckham Jr. visited the Cowboys on Monday and took a physical with the team. It was the third stop on his free agency tour as he met with the Giants and Bills last week.

Jackson Suffered PCL Injury

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is considered "week to week" after suffering a PCL injury Sunday, coach John Harbaugh told reporters. Harbaugh added Jackson's availability for Week 14 is "less likely."

Jackson left the team's Week 13 win against the Denver Broncos in the first half. Tyler Huntley relieved Jackson and led the Ravens to a 10-9 win.

Jackson will undergo further testing to better judge the severity of the injury and how much time he could potentially miss. With the news that Jackson could miss time, the Ravens signed QB Brett Hundley on Monday, ESPN reported.

Playoff Scenarios For Week 14

Three teams can clinch playoff births this weekend with two of them having a chance at winning their divisions. The Vikings can clinch the NFC North with a win over the Lions, the Chiefs can clinch the AFC West with a win over the Broncos and a Chargers loss to the Dolphins.

The only team that can clinch a playoff spot while not winning their division are the Eagles. They can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Giants while still having a chance at a division title in the coming weeks.

Cardinals Workout Free Agent QB

The Arizona Cardinals worked out free agent quarterback Carson Strong on Tuesday, according to NFL Media. Strong appears to be a candidate for the team to sign to a futures deal for the 2023 season at the end of the year.

Eagles' Quinn Heads to IR

Eagles defensive end Robert Quinn is having a knee scope procedure that will force him to go on injured reserve, NFL Media reported. Quinn twisted his knee at practice last week and will now miss at least the next four weeks. The Eagles are optimistic he'll return in time for the playoffs.

The Eagles acquired Quinn from the Bears in exchange for a fourth-round pick, but he's only played in one game for Philadelphia.

Broncos Cut Harris

The Broncos cut safety Anthony Harris on Tuesday, ESPN reported. Harris has yet to play in a game this season, but he did play a starting role on the Eagles' defense last season.
