No Timetable for OBJ Decision

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. still hasn't decided where he'll play this season, and there appears to be no timetable for his decision, NFL Media reported. Beckham Jr. wrapped up his free agency tour of the Giants, Cowboys and Bills last week, and was expected to make a choice already.

The free agent wide receiver's health has complicated matters. Beckham Jr. did not run routes for teams, and it's expected he'll need at least another month before he can meaningfully contribute to any new team.

Beckham Jr. appeared on "The Shop" on Thursday night and said he'd prefer to wait till the playoffs anyway.

"I've played football for a long time," Beckham said. "I'm not saying I couldn't step in and play (in the) regular season, but I don't see the point. I really don't. I'd rather play when that pressure's on."

Lions View Goff as Future QB

The Lions view Jared Goff as their future at the quarterback position, NFL Media reported. The Lions have won four of their last five games, and Goff is a big reason for their success.

Goff is under contract beyond the 2022 season, but Detroit has long been seen as a team that needs to draft a quarterback at the top of the 2023 NFL Draft. Ironically, the Lions' best opportunity to select a quarterback would come from the pick they acquired from the Los Angeles Rams along with Goff in exchange for Matthew Stafford. That pick sits at number four overall.

If Goff continues to play well, the Lions will reportedly look to select a top position player with their pick from the Rams.

Analysts Paul Burmeister and Robert Smith from The 33rd Team discussed what has made Goff so successful this season.
