Mond and Wilson Connect Again

For the second time in Sunday's preseason game, Kellen Mond and Albert Wilson connected on a touchdown to keep the Minnesota Vikings in their game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The pair's first touchdown trimmed the Vegas lead to 16-13, and they connected again two Minnesota drives later to make the score 26-20 in favor of the Raiders, with 3:44 to play. Their second touchdown was 20 yards.

Earlier in the drive, Mond also connected with Myron Mitchell, who went full extension to bring in the 16-yard catch.

Business Picking up in Vegas

After only one touchdown was scored in the first half between Las Vegas and Minnesota (along with three field goals), the Raiders and Vikings have scored touchdowns on three consecutive possessions as their game enters the fourth quarter. Brittain Brown, who converted a 4th & 1 on the series, took a carry in from one yard on 3rd & Goal to put Vegas up 23-13. The drive was an eventful one for Vegas: a bad snap stuck them with a 3rd & 24, but Nick Mullens completed a 23-yard pass to get back to that 4th & 1 play Brown converted.

Mond Coming Through for Minnesota

Kellen Mond is making some big throws to keep Minnesota in its first preseason game of the season, against Las Vegas. After finding Dan Chisena for 22 yards on a fourth down play earlier in the drive, Mond hit Albert Wilson in the back of the end zone for a touchdown, bringing the Vikings back within three of the Raiders. It was the first catch of the game for both Chisena and Wilson, while Mond is 4/9 passing the ball after replacing Sean Mannion for Minnesota. The touchdown answers a Raiders' touchdown from the previous drive.

Turner Turns on the Speed

DJ Turner has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game, but he is doing his best to earn that first opportunity. The Pitt and Maryland alum showed off some speed for Las Vegas, taking a crossing route 34 yards for a touchdown on a pass from Nick Mullens. Turner picked up a big block from Jesper Horsted at the end that helped him reach the end zone, and extend the Raiders' lead to 16-6 in the third quarter against Minnesota.
