Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce (Back) 'Good to Go' for AFC Championship

Travis Kelce

After running routes in warmups before Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Bengals, it appears Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be in the starting lineup, The Athletic reported.

Kelce suffered back spasms at practice on Friday. He was officially listed as questionable by the Chiefs. However, a report from Fox's Jay Glazer on Sunday indicated Kelce was a game-time decision, and the team wanted to see him run before deciding if he was healthy enough to play.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will start on Sunday despite dealing with a high ankle sprain suffered in last week's game against the Jaguars. Even if Kelce plays, the Chiefs' two best players will be trying to manage injuries against the Bengals.

Last week against the Jaguars, Kelce set the NFL record for the most receptions by a tight end in a single postseason game.
